On this episode we have Dustin Schneider. Dustin is one half of the award winning podcast The Jerry Jonestown Massacre and a long-time DFW musician and photographer, currently playing in The Spectacle and Uncle Toasty. We had a great time discussing podcasting, music, photography and technology as well as the DFW scene in the 90’s and 2000’s compared to now.

Additionally, we talk about local politics and that conversation can be found on the Fort Worth Freedom Review.

Hi, my name is Anthony Sosa and this is “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. On this episode we have Glenn Wallace. Glenn and I have known each other since 2004 via The Raven Charter and we even briefly played together in a band, Housefire, in 2009. Glenn is a very skilled multi instrumentalist and we about the process of writing for viola, piano, and guitar as well as his 8 bit project “Codecrasher” who does the theme to this podcast. We also get into death metal, teaching lessons, star wars, video games, band chemistry and the Dallas scene in the late 90’s.

At the end of the podcast is “Contemplate” written and performed by Glenn.

On this episode we have Dale Brunson, a well known face around the DFW Music scene Dale has been running live sound around town for over a decade, playing guitar in Sweetmeat- a top 40 cover band he and I co founded since 2012, and recently has opened his own studio, Sounds by Dale, out of his home here in Fort Worth.

We have a great conversation about Werewolf Therewolf and The Raven Charter in the late aughts, what it's like and how to be creative as a live sound and studio engineer as well as writing and performing music and why we co founded Local Famous Records.
