Review: DC's The New Frontier Absolute Edition
Written by Darwyn Cooke
Art by Darwyn Cooke

Everyone on the panel agrees this is a 5 out of 5 Star collected edition. The panel spends most of the program analyzing the New Frontier discussing everything from the minor plot points to the nods to great moments in comic history during the Silver Age.

Review: The New Frontier DVD Review
The panel discusses the differences between the DVD and the Absolute Edition, citing why some of the changes are okay, and others can detract from the movie if you've already read the trade. Bryan, Stephen, and Rodrigo suggest people watch the DVD before reading the book.

Review: The Spectacular Spider-Man Animated Television Show
The panel is split on the show. Stephen gives it a pass citing the art style is not to his liking. Bryan has an issue with subtle costume changes, but Rodrigo likes the show overall. The panel agrees that the animated series is off to a good start giving nods to the classic Spider-Man, and building continuity and large story arcs between episodes.

Tiny Review
Bryan sits down with his son, and together they review the first issue of DC's Tiny Titans. While Jackson likes it, he's not sure he would spend his allowance on a subscription, but it was fun to read. Stephen and Bryan then have a discussion on comics for kids and why the current run of Justice League Unlimited doesn't work for younger readers.

Review: The Foundation
Created by Kody Chamberlain
Written by John Rozum
Art by Chee
Cover by Paul Azaceta

Bryan and Stephen love The Foundation from Boom! Studios - Rodrigo not so much. There is just enough mystery and intrigue in the first two issues, that they will continue to read the rest of the series. Stephen and Bryan award high marks, but Rodrigo's critique brings the overall rating down to 3 out of 5 stars.

Question of the Week
If you had to choose one of the following super powers, which would it be?

Trade Paperback Review: Left on Mission
Written by Chip Mosher
Drawn by Francesco Francavilla
Colored by Martin Thomas
The panel had nothing but good things to say about the five issue mini-series from Boom! Studios. From the art to the story telling, this issue rates as a strong read by all. Don't go into Left on Mission thinking this is going to be your typical James Bond story - it's much better!
Rodrigo, Bryan, and Stephen give the trade paperback 4 out of 5 stars.

This turned into the Boom! Studios episode as Bryan also gave a mini review of Second Wave, and says that if these are the kinds of stories coming from Boom! Studios, this is a company to watch.

The panel dislikes the first issue.
Rodrigo - art is okay, pacing is awful

The Escapists Review
Everyone on the panel gave this a big thumbs up. Stephen challenges Bryan to get his local library to put this title on the shelves. The panel assures listeners that they are not fawning over Brian K. Vaughn it just so happens the last two titles that have had unanimous thumbs up were written by Brian.

Mixed reactions as the panel compares the first volume to the first season of 24, Heroes, and Lost. Lots of interesting characters without the burden of the Marvel 616 Universe getting in the way.
