Memories Through Sound

Ever since she was a baby, producer Elle Brosh has wanted to eat the world. For a young girl with a sophisticated palate and a tendency to overeat, the grocery store was paradise. In this short feature, Elle recalls shopping for groceries with her mom, a weekly ritual with an unusual twist she will always cherish.

After seeing the film, Memoir of a Geisha, Elle Brosh became fascinated with them. In 2008, when she was fifteen, she traveled to Japan with her mother, and had a first-hand experience that she remembers with humor and dread.

Jack Dunphy recalls the week he spent on his grandfather's farm learning how to ride his old motorcycle. It turn out to be a serio-comic rite of passage.

A day in the life of a tarot hustler takes an unexpected turn. Stuart Südekum is a writer and educator living in Brooklyn. He is the co-founder of Feast of Fools, an educational event series on the art and science of mysticism, and is a specialist on the life and work of Arthur Edward Waite.
