Ang tulang "Agos" ay isinulat ni Ginoong David T. Mamaril. Si Ginoong Mamaril ay isang makata at mambabalagtas na kilala sa bansag na "Makatang Caviteño". Isa rin siyang mamamahayag na kabilang sa ilang mga nangungunang makata sa bansa. At dahil sa angking galing ay nagkamit rin siya ng maraming gantimpala sa timpalak-panitik.
