Llewellyn Krastev chats with Dionne Woods on today’s Paint Talks Podcast. Llewellyn is the owner and artist at Worn to Whimsy and Daydream Apothecary paint. She started painting furniture about 9 years ago when she decided to upcycle an old dresser for her youngest daughter. That one piece sparked a passion in her, and she hasn’t turned back since. Llewellyn has worked slowly towards painting art on pieces learning step-by-step the basics of painting furniture and trying different products. Once she painted that first scene on a piece of furniture it filled her with such excitement and joy, she knew this is what she wanted to do with everything in her being.

Dionne Woods chats with Kelly Wiler today on the Paint Talks Podcast. Kelly is an Ohio artist that has been creating and practicing art since she was a young girl inspired by her art teacher, she lives with her husband Jeff of 26 years, and their 20-year-old daughter Cassidy. While Kelly teaches many different styles of paint classes and workshops, she specializes in the Intuitive Art process as a way to push her students to new levels of awareness in their own artistic journey. Kelly found her own “artistic fingerprint” (as she refers to it) once she started incorporating this unique soulful practice into her own paintings and believes it’s inclusive to every creator, no matter what their level of painting is.

Kelly currently owns a full-time working art studio in Zanesville, Ohio called Girl UPcycled Studio where she can be found daily working on new furniture and canvas art or teaching her online membership group “The Creators Club”. Kelly welcomes the public inside her studio on Fridays and Saturdays to shop the various curated items she has found from local and small creators throughout the U.S. or they may even choose to attend art classes, retreats, workshops or the always fun First Friday Gallery Hop that our town offers every month!

Kari is the owner of Rose City Boutique and Consulting. She lives in Springfield, Ohio with her husband, 16 year old son, and their two dogs. Though she spent 14 years in Corporate America, in 2019 she began painting furniture in her yard, which evolved into her selling paint as a vendor, and then in November 2020, leaving her corporate career to start her own business. Her passion is helping creatives both focus on their art and make sure as many people see it as possible. She offers her boutique within which they can sell their work, and her consulting services to help them with their websites, email and social media marketing, and more. Amidst these ventures, she also manages two properties in Ohio as Airbnbs, just to keep things interesting.

Kimberly is a wife and mother of three sons, residing in Milton, Wisconsin. She describes herself as a lifelong student, enjoys learning and is fascinated with discovering new things.

Karen Berg of Redoux Interiors joins Dionne Woods today on the Patin Talks Podcast! Karen is the kind of person who will talk to anyone in a grocery store line, dance in public or in her car to a good song, and just fully soak up a fun moment. Karen's friends call her "the people collector" because Karen has never met a stranger and loves to connect with like-minded people, constantly expanding her circle of friends.

As a kid, Karen was a serial maker. She never outgrew her love of creating. Now as an adult, she can’t stop making, upcycling things and creating things. With an emphasis on Upcycling Old Furniture and Dumpster found artifacts.

Karen is a wife to husband and best friend “Mark” of 30 years, a Mom of 3 grown kids and a dog that will never grow up. Karen spends most of her time upcycling old things and teaching others to create beautiful things using DIY Paint and IOD products, through video, social media, and in-person workshops.

TOTALLY useless knowledge, but it makes for good bets with her husband Mark when she almost always proves she is right.
