Joel Simon, Creative Coder & Researcher | Tech+Art

Today we’re speaking with Joel Simon, a multidisciplinary artist and toolmaker who’s work intersects with art, design and research.

Joel studied computer science and art at Carnegie Mellon University for 3 years before working on bioinformatics at Rockefeller University. 

He is currently pursuing Morphogen, a generative design company and developing GanBreeder, a massively collaborative creative tool and network.

Joel is inspired by the systems of biology computation and creativity.

Connor Bell, Creative Coder & Graphics Artist | Tech+Art

Today we’re chatting with the extremely talented graphics artist & creative coder - Connor Bell.

Connor is a fellow Canadian who moved from Nova Scotia to Montreal to pursue his career & interest in creative uses of code & tech.

He’s an established freelance coder/animator and is doing a ton of work around shaders and procedural generation.

Most recently, he’s been working on more open source contributions to help others take their work and have it rendered efficiently in VR.
