In this episode, I talk with Kelsey Patterson and BJ Hollars. Kelsey is the Reader Services Specialist for the Sioux City Public Library. She leads the Open Book Club and is a co-host of The First Fifty Pages podcast. Kelsey and I talk about spooky or strange books, and she offers up some good ones.

BJ and I talk about his latest book, Midwestern Strange: Hunting Monsters, Martians, and the Weird in Flyover Country. It's a book that on its face dives into paranormal sightings (think werewolves, UFOs, and giant turtles), but as BJ explains in our conversation, "It's really a book about people."
