All of us have met people who succeed despite great obstacles. However, many stories go untold. During this time where hope is at a premium, we are bringing you stories of people who didn't give up, didn't quit and the characteristics that they display in order to do so. People are best equipped to apply what you want to teach them if they have a context for what you are trying to explain. The partnership between a leader and their followers depends not on the information given, but the trust people have for their leader. We set lofty goals; but are we truly making inroads? Or are people just agreeing with us for the sake of unity?

This episode is part II of an interview I did with my father, Luis Escoto - my first mentor, leader and pastor. Whether you are a part of a church organization or not, you will enjoy the themes of casting vision, setting goals, caring for people, integrity, accountability and simply, the importance of keeping your word. What a treat I had, connecting the dots between what I believe as a leader and what my father modeled and taught me.

This episode was recorded at my dad's house. It was a fun, blooper filled night (maybe I'll share those later!), but the best thing was that I captured some gems of leadership advice. I'd like to share these with you and later in the season, talk more about some of the themes raised. I'm sure, whether you are a church or other organization, that you will capture the values shown in this short interview.
