In this episode, i speak to Adrian Li. Adrian Li is Founder and Managing Partner at AC Ventures, a merged fund between Agaeti Ventures and Convergence Ventures. AC Ventures is an early stage Indonesia focused technology venture capital fund. Prior to this, Adrian was an entrepreneur. In 2006, he founded the online English training company Idapted(later acquired by American education company Eleutian). After successfully exiting, he joined the German Internet giant Rocket Internet as the managing director, working in Beijing and Indonesia. In 2015, Adrian was selected as one of the 40 under 40 elites in Indonesia by Forbes & the well-known luxury magazine Prestige Indonesia. Adrian is also involved in non-profit work. He founded and chairs a UK Charity called CNYTrust, which supports children in rural China continue schooling. He is a business mentor at several organizations including Endeavour, Founders Institute and Antler. He has served on the board of Entrepreneurs Organization is several roles including Beijing Chapter President and Regional Communications Director. He is also a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) in Indonesia. ACV managed 3 funds with a portfolio of over 80 businesses. Notable investments include, Payfazz, Koinworks, Julo, Carsome and M17. Previously, he co-founded several ventures in China and Indonesia.

In this episode, I speak to Rachel Lau is Managing Partner at RHL Ventures. RHL Ventures is a Southeast Asian-based private investment firm that focuses on growth capital investments in Southeast Asia and the US region. Rachel was previously Vice President at Heitman Investment Management in HK and Australia. Rachel helped manage USD$4bn of global long-only and absolute return equity strategies, focused on the APAC region. Prior to this, Rachel worked as an investment analyst with Dutch investment manager, NN Investment Management, which manages USD$225bn. Rachel serves on the board of directors for GNC Holdings (NYSE: GNC) and as President of the Malaysian Gymnastics Federation. Previously, she served on the Leadership Team of the Hong Kong chapter of Ellevate (formerly 85 Broads); and sits on the Program Committee of EMpower, a global not-for-profit organization that supports at-risk youths in developing countries. In 2018, Rachel was named as 50 People who are Redefining the Way We Live by Business Times Singapore and was selected as Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle. Rachel graduated from Australian National University with a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction and received a Master of Law from the University of Sydney. In addition, Rachel represented Malaysia in rhythmic gymnastics internationally.
