Happy Collective: a Brand by Women for Women, with Co-Founder Julia Marget

41m · Published 25 Oct 19:00

Welcome to Episode 7 of Blossom For Each Day Podcast, with Co-Founder Julia Marget of Happy Collective!

Happy Collective was founded by three friends, Emma, Julia & Anthea, Emma & Anthea gained an opportunity to exclusively stock a product on their already established and hugely successful Beauty Empire Osmosis, so when they realised this was something they couldn’t let go of, the product gave the girls the ammunition they needed to launch Happy Collective! An idea that had been bubbling away in the background but needed Julia to come to the party and help bring it to life.

Happy Collective is a platform designed by women, for women, it is a chance to discuss topics that are taboo, and create a space for women to engage and thrive together. Launching just last month, Happy Collective has already made such a positive impact with their first line of products ‘The Smile Makers’.

Recently being featured on Broadsheet, and with epic branding by Dot Dot Dash, there truly is nothing to stop them becoming an influential community brand. In my conversation with Julia, we discuss the details of the launch of Happy Collective, as well as their plans for the company in the future. Their vision to create a positive, fun and thriving environment for women to connect and feel safe about their sexuality, sensuality and feminine power.

In our conversation we discuss...

  • How Happy Collective came to fruition for Julia, Anthea & Emma!
  • The exciting product range distributed on Happy Collective, 'The Smile Makers'
  • Why they decided to launch a business during COVID-19
  • The key principles and purpose behind Happy Collective
  • Influencing the taboo topic of self pleasure & making it something that is empowering for women
  • Happy Collective Quiz!
  • Their vision for the future & so much more!
Episodes are uploaded every Monday. If you liked listening, please rate & review the podcast on Apple Podcasts or your preferred podcast provider. I am so grateful for your support.

Welcome to Episode 5 of Blossom For Each Day Podcast: Meet Australia's Youngest Female Mayor, Cr Georgina Oxley

At only 25 years old, Cr Georgina Oxley is the Mayor of City of Kingston, one of Melbourne’s beautiful bayside cities that is known for its pristine beaches, community facilities, gorgeous cafes & resturants and industrial areas. Being a local resident myself, I began to notice her ability to resonate with the younger generation and women in the community, so of course, I wanted to have her on the Podcast for an authentic conversation.

You can hear her excitement and passion for all she does as she reflects on her years and experience in council, community and business. In 2016 Georgina was elected into local government, and two years later, at only 23 years old, she made history and was elected as the youngest female mayor in Australia! Incredible huh!? We discuss so many topics, from broad issues, to small, but impactful community programs she has initiated.

In addition to her impressive resume, she is also a Business Owner. She co-owns and operates 'Designer Plants' with her partner. A curated collection of artificial plants distributed to commercial & residential locations worldwide.

In our conversation we discuss...

  • How she found her passion in politics
  • What she is most proud of achieving in her role as Mayor of City of Kingston
  • What there is to come in the City of Kingston
  • The local business she co-owns & operates with her partner ‘Designer Plants’
  • How she balances the duties of Mayor & Business Owner
  • Her advice for anyone who wants to follow their passion

Creating an Empire with your Sister, The Directors of Dot Dot Dash

45m · Published 27 Sep 22:27

Welcome to my exciting guest episode: Creating an Empire with your Sister, The Directors of Dot Dot Dash.

Shirin & Diba are the directors of Dot Dot Dash. A Melbourne based creative marketing and event agency that Shirin created just over 13 years ago. Diba joined only a year later.

Shirin & I met when I was commissioned to photograph a project for Dot Dot Dash in 2015. We were introduced by our mutual friend, Mel, the owner of Melbourne based Cecilia Fox. Since then, after I myself realised that Diba & Shirin were indeed sisters, we have worked together on so many more amazing events, including the work we do for Shopping Centers, Activations, Events and Spring Racing. Recently, we also collaborated on an incredible project 'Isolation Creation'. We donated all profits to the Indigenous Literacy Fund in Australia. It was really fun to see how they put together a brief from start to finish. Diba called me and checked in each step of the way, and Shirin took the creative styling direction on shoot day! For once, I got to see how great they worked as a team, as an overall process, not just arriving to see the final moments come together.

Some of their recent design projects include; Crown IMG Australian Tennis Party, The Park and Birdcage Activations for Flemington VRC, The BVLGARI Italian Film Festival, Chadstone A/W Launch, various brand activations at VAMFF, & Tom Organic Splendor in the Grass.... just to name a few.

In our conversation we discuss...

  • Inspiring projects they have worked on over the years
  • How they perfectly combine their work and family relationship
  • How they developed their distinct style
  • Where they turn to for inspiration
  • Projects they are currently working on
  • & so much more!
