His heart for the global church, the music of the church and worship leaders has led him to devote much of his time to mentoring and encouraging young leaders and songwriters as they enter the intersection of worship, church and art.

In this weeks episode we talk with Taylor Ellerbrock. Taylor is the co-founder and Executive Director of The BEE Community, a nonprofit business in College Station, TX. After spending several years teaching special education in the public school system, Taylor started to see the reality of life after high school for her students. Learning that up to 80% of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are unemployed nationwide, The BEE Community was founded on the principle that everyone, regardless of ability or capacity, is made with inherent worth and the divine design to work and contribute. BEE provides meaningful work and a place of belonging for people of all abilities.

In addition to leading for many years in higher education, Lyle’s ministry experience includes serving as a Senior Pastor and church planter, as well as serving as Executive Senior Pastor at one of the largest churches in the nation. Lyle speaks at more than 100 events per year, and his personal mission is to “equip and encourage the leaders of leaders.” He and his wife, Ronda, have two grown children, Jordie and Michael.

Among the many gifts Eliot brought his parents, was a passion to help persons with disabilities and their families. They desire to change the story of disability by proclaiming the worth and image-bearing beauty of each and every human being.

What began with starting a small respite night called rEcess in their community has grown into a global movement championing relationships and inclusion for persons with disabilities- with now over 42 rEcess sites across 3 countries. Their story and work have been featured on The Today Show, National Geographic and The Oprah Winfrey Show, and we are honored to have them on the Chasing What Matters Podcast today!
