"That's no ordinary look. That's the kind of look a man gives when he is afraid somebody might be watching him." In our final recruiter spotlight episode of Atlas: Now Streaming, we interview Kristen Begeman. Kristen is based in South Dakota and the two of us met for the first time when we were roommates at TravCon in 2018! (*insert Vine "and they were roommates" reference here*) She's a mom of three, loves old movies, and watching documentaries - that is, when she isn't watching something her kids picked out! Kristen and I talk about some of her favorite movies including 1954's "Rear Window," our mutual love of "Something's Gotta Give," our favorite book-to-movie adaptations, and our latest quarantine binge. Who else are we talking about? It's none other than Natasha Sage! Natasha has been with Atlas for two years and has been killing it as a recruiter ever since. We love her work ethic, her relationship with her nurses, and her sweet personality. Mulan on Disney+ - Atlas: Now Streaming 82

1h 7m · Published 19 Sep 18:00
"Let's get down to business to defeat the Rourans!" Err, I mean, the Huns? It's the Huns, right? In the newest live-action remake from Disney, Mulan (2020) tells the story we all know and love with some significant twists and changes added in. There's no music, Mushu, or Huns to defeat. So, what's left? A badass woman saving her father from the war by disguising herself as a man and taking his place. That's still an awesome story to tell! Mulan was originally set to release in theaters back in March (you know, the before times) but was just released on Disney+ this month with a premier access fee. Gorgeously shot and fun for everyone, it's definitely worth the price. Haven't seen this one yet? Decide for yourself if it's just another Hollywood remake or an honorable retelling of a Disney classic.

Imagine how determined he'll be to help you find travel assignments! Get to know Mark: https://atlasmedstaff.com/atlas-team/mark-lau/

The Mandela Effect on Hulu - Atlas: Now Streaming 80

1h 2m · Published 05 Sep 18:00
Have you ever had a memory that you swear was real, but was later proven false? For example, did you ever read "The Berenstain Bears" as a kid, but you know it was spelled "Berenstein"? Or what about Curious George, didn't he have a tail? What about the Monopoly Man? Didn't he have a monocle? What is reality anymore?! All of these are examples of what has become known as "The Mandela Effect," named after former South African President Nelson Mandela, who many believe died in the 1980s and not in 2013. This infamous conspiracy theory dates back to the early 2010s and has sent the internet into a rabbit hole of possibilities. Could it just be collective false memories, or are these coincidences a sign of something bigger in the universe? The 2019 film "The Mandela Effect", now available for streaming on Hulu, explores this theory with a game developer, his wife, and his deceased daughter that, because of these discrepancies, he believes is still alive. We watched this movie, blew our minds, and discussed the theory in-depth in this week's episode of Atlas: Now Streaming. We strongly urge you to research the theory before watching. But be forewarned, you will finish this movie even more confused than you were before.

Netflix's The Baby-Sitters Club - Atlas: Now Streaming 78

1h 5m · Published 22 Aug 18:00
We know what you're thinking: can't Hollywood think of anything NEW anymore? Fortunately, this reboot was a hit for us, and we think you'll like it, too! Netflix's new original series "The Baby-Sitters Club," based on the novels of the same name by Ann M. Martin, tells the story of five girls who form a business to help the families in their neighborhood find quality babysitters and make some money along the way. As the story unravels, the girls become more than just a club; they become best friends as they deal with typical middle school problems like boys, parents, and puberty all while covering deeper cultural themes and storylines that are refreshing and real. A reboot, sure, but one with progressive values that we certainly appreciated! This throwback is one we don't think you will want to miss. A fun, nostalgic romp for the 80s and 90s babies, "The Baby-Sitters Club" is a treat that the whole family will enjoy!
