5 Virtual Networking Mistakes to Avoid

15m · Published 02 Feb 20:29

When you work in an office, the idea of networking can be simple. You may spend time at meetings, going to the break room, or even a ride in the elevator and you are able to meet other professionals who will help you to reach some of your goals. You may have to do a little work to go to conferences and more in order to make the connections that grow your network, but you can still get the work done.

Things get a little harder when you work from home. You still need to form some of these important connections, to meet others and work hard, in order to finally get ahead and reach for success. Networking when you are not in the office can be hard, but it may be one of the best ways to grow your business and make sure that you meet new people.

Virtual networking allows this to happen, whether you are in the office or work from anywhere. Through virtual networking, you will be able to take advantage of online platforms, social media, and even online webinars and conferences in order to form connections with others, even when you are not able to meet them in-person. Virtual networking allows the individual who works remotely a chance to network that they may not have had in the past.

Today, I'll go over 5 mistakes to avoid while trying to grow your network online.

5 Magic Concepts in Marketing

9m · Published 26 Sep 15:33
In marketing, the online world is your stage.  This episode covers 5 concepts of magic that can help with your marketing or marketing strategy.  First, we discuss "Teamwork".  The different people that help you to create the perfect marketing campaign is just like the teamwork I use to create an unforgettable performance.  Next we discuss "Practice and Hard Work".  As a magician, I have put in many hours into rehearsing, practicing, and more. Preparing for your marketing strategy takes just as many hours going through research, collecting data, and understanding your client.  I then move on to "Knowing your audience".  Understanding your customer, who buys your product or service, and how they buy is important to understand so you know what kind of advertisement you need to create and where to place it to ensure your customer sees it.  The effects I perform and the scripting I use will change depending on my audience.  Is it an all adult audience, family friendly audience, or just all children.  Each audience determines what and how I perform.  Then I discuss "Reading between the lines".  Once you have all the data, what exactly does it mean?  Understanding spikes in website traffic is important.  Was is because of a sale?  Holiday? Certain advertisement?  Data is just numbers, you need to understand what's behind the numbers just as I need to understand what's between the words and lines on a page. Lastly, "Storytelling" is discussed.  What is the story of your product or service and how does it relate to your customer.  Your brand, logo, advertisements, copywright, colors, all tell a story to the customer. Be sure to like, subscribe, and share.   site: nolanwebster.com IG: instagram.com/nolan.d.webster FB: Facebook.com/nolan.d.webster
