Peetak is a Member of Research Staff/Scientist-II at the fabled Palo Alto Research Center (formerly Xerox PARC), located in the heart of Silicon Valley. At PARC, he works on developing novel AI/ML algorithms and impactful technologies across projects in distributed sensor systems (DARPA Ocean-of-Things), predictive maintenance using Internet-of-Things (Novity), climate modeling/policy, and geoengineering (MCB). In addition to his employment at PARC, he is passionate about using my knowledge for mitigating the negative effects of climate change and am associated with the Climate Change AI group as a Core Team member.

Podcast, Jesús talks to Vince Petaccio, Data Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where he develops machine learning tools to identify and mitigate fraud activity. Previously, he worked as a data scientist at Untapt, where he produced deep-learning natural language tools to help job candidates find fulfilling careers while avoiding systemic bias. Prior to this work, he developed real time neural data analysis in brain and spine surgery around New York City and Philadelphia. Vincen studied biomedical engineering - neural engineering at Drexel University and a computer science degree from Georgia Tech.
In this recording we focus on how Vince has become a passionate advocate for action on climate change: he has worked with Citizens' Climate Lobby since 2016 to advance politically neutral climate policy and to build the political will for climate action, and lends his data science skills to projects seeking to mitigate the climate crisis with novel solutions.
