Nathan Garrison found a problem in the ocean sports space that has created fear in many and has kept even more from entering the water.  A fear and the danger around swimming, surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, spear fishing, etc in the ocean...Sharks.  After being laid off from an outdoors company creating content and his friend being bit by a shark, he went down the path to find a solution to help minimize the risk of being bit by sharks in the ocean.  Its a great, "problem, figure it out, find a solution" story that I think you will enjoy.  As always if you could rate and review the podcast it would mean the world.  For more on Nathan and Sharkbanz click the link below

Ep. 17 Blake Cook AKA Blackbeard; PTSD & Veteran Suicide Awareness

Blake Cook (aka Blackbeard) was blown up and severely injured in Afghanistan during OEF.  After spending 2 years in rehab learning how to walk and talk again, he joined a Cartel & Gang SWAT team where he spent 5 years dealing with PTSD & survivors gilt which lead to a night where he put a gun to his head to take his life.  He didn't end up pulling the trigger and now spends his off time from service helping other veterans, police and first responders with PTSD.  

If you or anyone you know is an Active Service Member, Veteran, Police officer or First Responder, please share this with them, their friends and family.  They may not need to hear it, but there is a good chance someone they know may need this.

Kasey Stewart is a creative, Guinness World Record holder and embodies the idea that you can create the life you want.  Kasey and I met on our season (9) of the Bachelorette over 6 years ago and recently got back in touch when he moved back to LA.  He spent the majority of his professional career as a creative director but was not fulfilled.  In 2017 he decided to sell everything he owned, buy some camera equipment, and spend a year traveling around the world while teaching himself how to film, create and post produce.   The year culminated with him achieving the Guinness World Record for traveling to all 7 continents in the shortest amount of time.

Bryan Mineo is the founder of SMOG (Swim Mechanic Ocean Group) who has created a community across North America of Swimmers from Olympic Athletes to first time ocean swimmers.  He truly embodies the concept of "doing what you love for a living."  Bryan started SMOG with out charging anyone for over 2 years because he just loved brining people together around a common interest he loved; ocean swimming.  SMOG has now grown into a extremely loyal community, very successful business and a non profit with groups all across North America including a number through CA, HI, TX, FL, ME and Mexico with more in the works.
