She has been recognized by theNew York Times, National Public Radio, theNew Yorker, and the American Society on Aging as an expert on ageism and named as a Fellow by the Knight Foundation, theNew York Times, Yale Law School, and the Royal Society for the Arts

In 2017 she received a standing ovation for her Ted Talk in Vancouver.

She has received numerous awards for her work, including being named one of “fifty leaders working to transform the world to be a better place to grow older” by the UN’sDecade of Healthy Agingplatform (a collaboration between the WHO) in 2022.
