Hi. I am Gladys Agwai, Founder and CEO of Ignite Within. I worked in various executive leadership roles within IBM, the #1 global technology company, for over 30 years. I’ve work across regions (US, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya), cross-industries, functions, and cultures. Why is this important to you? Reflect on how many people and situations take your focus – significant other, children, parents, bosses, co-workers, siblings, and friends. We work, take care of household, may also have a side business or going to school. We allow our needs to be pushed aside or buried and we don’t feel good about it which impacts how we see ourselves if we see ourselves at all. We invest our time and money into everything and everybody around us but not ourselves. Why is that? Do we feel we are not worthy, not good enough, not capable of, or powerless. To most effectively take care of others we must take care of ourselves first. We decide that we are most important and it’s alright to invest in what is most important – YOU. Because of all that we have going on in our lives, we need focus and direction – coaching. We pour so much out of ourselves giving to others. We must replenish – participating in masterminds and workshops will give you the nourishment required to excel in what you want to do. We must renew to avoid stagnation and to stay relevant. I have been on an ever evolving journey that has taken me across oceans, cultures, industries and I found a common theme when talking to the many women whose paths I crossed – we all have fears that keep us from our happy place and our destined success while allowing others to define success for us. I have transformed many women and girls lives by helping them move away from these fears to attract the people and resources required to achieve their aspirations, to be in their happy place, and to live in strengthened peace. It was such a rewarding experience that I determined this is my purpose in life and established my business related to this passion and purpose. I chose the company name Ignite Within because whether as an individual or a business, you must look within first to discover who you are, where you want to be, and what are you willing to do to achieve your life, business, and career goals. I took this personal journey to ignite within me my purpose serve women as a coach, speaker, teacher, and strategist. Ignite Within transforms our clients by moving them away from their fears to align with their passions and purpose achieving success as they define it.
