Entrepreneur Sam Bashiry talks to real estate guru Kosi Stobbs about building a business out of experience and opportunity.
At a young age Kosi discovered the link between hard work and success, a crucial event leading to his “I can do it” mentality he maintains to this day. This was after constant grief from his class mates over his lack of grammar skills. He changed all of this by working twice as hard as everyone else. By doing this he got into engineering at university, this set the tone for his life.
Kosi knew he could out work the rest, He didn’t need much sleep which gave him more time to study. He went from not being able to make a speech to receiving honours in engineering.
Kosi explains how he used his losses as fuel to move forward and flourish. He never once reached a summit which made him continue to strive towards bigger and bigger things.
After receiving devastating news from his parents that his older brother had passed away, this broke Kosi. However, this made him want to live his brothers legacy by building an empire and charity in his name. He states that this is how he once again turned a negative into a positive.
Kosi bought his first property when he was 22, and by the time he was 30 he had 20 properties. He then started to acquire business to scale.

Samuel Diamond was born in Melbourne Australia, After graduating high school he decided to study law. When he was 26 he moved to Perth Australia to work for a well known law firm.
He still didn’t feel happy with his position in life. He knew that he would make good money within law but he wasn’t in love with the career path, so he moved back to Melbourne. This is when he began his journey in suit making. Style was a passion of Samuel’s from a young age, so much that he asked for a blazer for his 12th birthday.
He began by assisting his friend who had already developed a small business for suit making. While doing this Samuel learnt all of the necessary skills to build his very own brand, which he now runs out of Collins street.
Samuel explains how he feels suits for him are predominantly about feeling great over looking great (as that comes naturally). His honesty throughout this episode really brings out his true colours.
