S2: Trailer—
We're ALMOST back! Here's what to expect when Season 2: Underdogs and Unforgettables returns in September.

———————————————
ABOUT SEASON 2:
#UNDERDOGSANDUNFORGETTABLES is all about thriving in the tension between where you're at, right now, and where you want to be. In your career, life, relationships, etc. Throughout this season we join forces with people on both sides of the mountain top. 1) The Underdogs: who are currently at point A and want to be at point B, but are at a loss for where to start or how to get there. 2) The Unforgettables: those individuals we all look up to as having already made their mark, forged their path, and achieved the otherwise unachievable.

Join host, Kat Lisciani, as she comes alongside four Underdogs who are knee deep in the journey of figuring out who they are, where and what they're called to, and how they're going to turn their dream into reality. One episode at a time we'll reveal their stories of struggle and breakthrough, as we accompany each person on the process to reinvent themselves, change careers, and forge a new path forward despite the different challenges in their way.

Every other episode we'll sit down for a conversation with one of our Unforgettables, friends of the pod and personal heroes to many of our underdogs. We'll learn their strategies for harnessing your strengths and minimizing your weaknesses to leverage everything you have at your disposal to create favor in the face of opposition, and opportunity where there is none.

S2Ep3: #underdogsandunforgettables

In this episode of the millennial innovators podcast _ S2 #underdogsandunforgettables _ we meet our second underdog of the season, Allan Stormon. Allan is a content marketer from down under (Aka—Oz / Australia) living and working in New York City. He moved to America on a whim and quickly made the connections he needed to land a great tech marketing job. Now, three years later, Allan finds himself back at square one as he learns his role at the company has been eliminated.

While this news would be considered less than ideal under most circumstances, Allan's job search dilemma is made all the more urgent and inconvenient by his immigrant status. With a 60-day deadline looming down his neck, Allan is tasked with the challenge of both finding a job he actually wants to work in while also securing an employer who is willing to sponsor his visa.

Join Allan and Kat as they sit down to help you reframe the job search and application process. Learn from Allan as he shares his personal approach to solving unfavorable career challenges, and hear exactly what he's doing this time to outshine his, seemingly, more qualified competition.

#7 What motivates us to take action

DUTY, APATHY & ACTION IN THE 21st CENTURY

Special Guest, Chanel Perez on the Millennial Innovators Podcast

INSIDE THE EPISODE

@chanel5essence on Twitter

Motivating people to take action IRL (in real life) is a lot more difficult than you might think it would be. As a marketer, the phrase "motivating people to action" is something I hear thrown around constantly. And sure, in a sense, it is. However, what I find truly fascinating is that, upon researching the subject further I've discovered it's actually not motivation that prompts us to take action. It's something else entirely different.

In this episode we look at what motivates people to take action (or as I like to think of it, what drives someone to go beyond the status quo) through the lens of citizenship in the 21st century. We discuss activating people at all levels—individual, local, and global. And, we take a look at some of the organizations we see leading the pack on this initiative in our society today, like the Obama Foundation for example.
