30m · Published 24 Nov 13:00

MayeCreate made the shift to an experimental four day work week this summer.

Spoiler alert - we love it!

A four day work week is fantastic, but it's not without its challenges.

We all feel a renewed sense of energy and creativity, which is good because we have to enhance efficiency in a whole new way now. Evaluating even our oldest processes because we don’t have the bandwidth to do them the same way anymore.

We have been pushed outside of our comfort zone during this transition in ways we needed to be pushed a long time ago. Now we have the motivation to get uncomfortable to get comfortable and make this transition work!

In this episode you can hear alllll about it and maybe learn a thing or two along the way .

Ok back to work I go!

P.S. If you’re wondering why we did this little experiment we also documented our reasoning for the decision in another blog/podcast.

Paralysis by Analysis

20m · Published 06 Oct 09:30

Do you ever find yourself stuck in the never-ending spiral of non-decision-making? ‍♂️ Then you, my friend, might be dealing with what we at the MayeCreate office affectionately call "paralysis by analysis" – and trust me, you're not alone!

One of my favorite examples is my brother and his fence; he looked at so many options to build a fence around his yard that he got overwhelmed and he ended up with no fence at all!

I pride myself on being a decision maker but I haven't always had the guts to pull the plug when I needed to either.

When I first started my business, my #1 goal was to everyone happy, so when I had to make decisions that I thought might make people mad I'd procrastinate BIG TIME and end up with an even bigger mess on my hands.

Over time, I realized that being a good leader meant making those decisions confidently with everyone's best interests at heart.

So in this episode, I'll share:

  • Self-talk techniques and strategies that help me navigate decision-making without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. ️
  • My mom's #1 decision making hack.
  • Why taking action is often the best action to take.

Tune in, and let's conquer paralysis by analysis together so you can take those baby steps and make decisions more effectively in your own life and business! ️
