GFY 063: Final Episode Welcome to the final episode of GFY! Yes, I said final episode. Although it was a tough decision, I’ve decided to wrap up the GFY podcast so that I can focus on my latest podcast: RED… My fiance, David Hooper, and I launched RED a few months ago and it’s completely taken off. We created it to give coaches, speakers, authors, bloggers, and podcasters—anyone who is in the business of spreading their message or building an audience—the proven strategies for skyrocketing their businesses to record heights and easily making six-figures. So from now on, you can find me over at RED in the podcast world! But I want to take a moment to thank YOU for listening to Go Fire Yourself. I’ve had such a blast doing this podcast for the last couple years. I’ve met some amazing people, learned a lot, and hope that I’ve provided you with some of the know-how and inspiration that you need to quit your day job and follow your dreams. GFY will still be available on iTunes and Stitcher for the time being, so if you missed any of the episodes, go back and check them out!   Here are a few of my favorite episodes: GFY 028: Are Your Beliefs About Money Holding You back from True Success? GFY 061: Create Your Financial Job Escape Plan

0s · Published 07 Aug 15:00

GFY 061: Interview with Andrew Fiebert (ListenMoneyMatters.com) Money is the #1 obstacle holding most people back from quitting their day jobs and taking the leap into self employment. But not anymore. On this episode, I’m interviewing Andrew Fiebert — founder of the popular Listen Money Matters podcast and blog — to discuss what you can do to get out of any debt you have, save up enough money to quit, and not have to every worry about going broke. Andrew Fiebert is the finance nerd behind Listen Money Matters.  By day he is a Data Engineer and by night (or any free time he has) loves talking about money and helping people reach their financial goals.  He has worked on the technology end of the finance world but always had an interest in the investing side as well. One day while ranting online about the lack of financial education in our society, he realized he could do something about it about and so his podcast was born.  There is a lack of basic money knowledge for our generation and he is trying to fill that gap by sharing his experiences.  Andrews goal is to help as many people as humanly possible reach financial freedom…which is why I’m thrilled to have him on the show! 0s · Published 10 Jul 15:11

Interview with Farnoosh Brock (ProlificLiving.com) It’s a lot harder to quit a good job than it is a lousy job, no matter how miserable that you are in either one. So when my guest today, Farnoosh Brock decided that she wanted to quit her steady 6-figure “good” career after 11 years of climbing the ranks, she had to cultivate the right mindset to make the jump. Farnoosh is an entrepreneur, published author, speaker and business coach. After a successful corporate career in technology, she started her company, Prolific Living, to fulfill her passions for writing, teaching and coaching. She empowers frustrated employees how to leverage their “mid-career crisis” by starting a side-hustle and growing it to a full-time business. In the show today, we’re going to talk about what was the mindset that allowed Farnoosh to successfully transition from employee to entrepreneur and the priceless advice she gives to people who want to follow in her footsteps. 0s · Published 12 Jun 15:00

Interview with Jeff Brown (ReadToLeadPodcast.com) When I originally started podcasting, I didn’t know what the hell I was doing (don’t tell anyone). I took the “fake it ’til you make it” approach, which isn’t terrible, but not necessarily ideal if you want to hit the ground running. Lucky for you, you don’t have to take my same haphazard approach because on this episode of GFY, I’m interview Jeff Brown. Jeff is an award-winning, 26-year radio industry veteran and podcasting guru.  He’s the founder of the recent podcast, Read to Lead in which he interviews authors of personal development, leadership, business, marketing and entrepreneurship books. He’s seen from personal experience how intentional and consistent reading can play an integral part in honing one’s leadership skills and aide greatly in advancing one’s personal growth and has brought his insights to the world through his popular podcast. Jeff’s joining me on the show to talk about his experience transitioning out of day job and creating a thriving podcast that’s on iTunes’ “What’s Hot” list. And he’s going to be sharing priceless tips on how to improve your own podcast to engage your customers and build your audience. So if you’re thinking about launching a podcast or if you already have a podcast and you’re in need of more listeners, don’t miss this episode!
