The Ways of Prosperity

41m · Published 18 Jan 05:00

On this episode of The God At Work Podcast, Farra sits down with authors Jeremy and Dr. Ally Butrous to discuss the key components of finding prosperity in the workplace. Jeremy and Ally emphasize in order to find true success in any business, we need to move from a place of lack to a place of fullness. They explain to reach that place of fullness, we have to understand our life's calling through God's plan and grace.

Once we begin to live our lives through God's abundance, rather than simply waiting for a roadmap to lead us from place to place, we can truly step into the success that God wants us to experience. Jeremy and Ally also speak about the importance of relationships in business and that all forms of business boil down to forming deep, meaningful relationships with others. However, we cannot form healthy relationships with others until we know ourselves in who God has called us to be.

Being A Son Before Becoming A CEO

39m · Published 01 Dec 05:00

On this episode of The God At Work Podcast, Farra is joined by William Norvell to talk about William’s journey and growth in different private equity firms before finally becoming the CEO of Sovereign’s Capital, an equity firm that prides itself in their capacity to match values-motivated entrepreneurs with values-aligned investors through the word of God.

William shares his story of his faith journey and how it wasn't really an alarm clock type of awakening to God's grace. Instead, he went through an 8 year journey to "become good enough." Throughout his life, despite his successes in business, he never felt like he was good enough for those around him. After struggling to find "good enough" in his piers and even battling alcoholism throughout his 20s, he slowly began to chip away at what God was calling him to and what his life story in God's love truly was.

William also mentioned how even know as a CEO, he works on his mindset when it comes to approaching business. He asked himself "What is baked into my mindset that is NOT of the Lord? Was I expecting to make a ton of money or expecting to close that big deal with a client?" Whether he experiences successes or failures, he wants to keep one thing centered in his heart, that he is a humbled, beloved son of God. William now works with clients and companies around the world to help build their businesses from a Christ-centered perspective. Our listeners can learn more about William and his businesses at Faith Driven Entrepreneur and Sovereign's Capital.
