How to navigate the return to work as a new parent

52m · Published 08 Jun 00:00

Wow, where do I start with this one?  It takes a lot of courage to be open and honest about any kind of challenge in your life, but to lead the conversation on a topic that’s hardly ever discussed in order to help others is pretty incredible.

Sarah talks about her return to work after maternity leave, the struggles she faced emotionally and how she found her confidence, her voice and herself again despite it all.

There’s some brilliant online resources mentioned in this episode and they’re linked below:

A huge thank you to Sarah for speaking up on this topic. You really are a superhero wether you believe it or not!

How to succeed when things are tough

55m · Published 25 May 00:00
Saying the last 12 months have been challenging for this week's guest, James Krappe, would be an understatement.  Owning any kind of business during Covid has been tough but imagine owning a digital marketing company that purely specialised in hospitality.  James gives us a very real and honest insight into owning a business, how he managed to keep himself and his customer's afloat during Covid and now bouncing back better than ever, tips for anyone with a dream of setting up on their own and what's really caught his attention when recruiting. So if you're considering ditching the 9-5 and building your own empire, or you're currently looking for a job and want some insight into what hiring managers are looking for, this one's for you.

How to find your passion and follow it

1h 2m · Published 18 May 00:00

This one is a cracker!  My guest this week is Paul Carolan, Executive Coach and all round amazing guy.  This is his first podcast but after hearing this back, this definitely won't be his last.  An absolute podcast natural, with so many tips on finding what you're passionate about, making that passion happen as a career and generally offering some amazing coaching tips, this one is not to be missed.

Previously working in commercial strategy, Paul realised he had a passion for coaching and 4 years ago, made that passion a full time career reality.  Now (in my opinion) one of the best coaches in the industry, Paul offers corporate or 121 coaching and genuinely changes lives.

How to work where you want

42m · Published 05 May 00:10
In a post covid world, so many options have been opened up to us. Remote working and fewer days in the office means new opportunity in terms of where we live and many of us are considering our options. But there’s a lot to think about and that’s where this week’s guest has you covered. Having moved city 4 times for her different career moves and most latterly to an entirely new country, Laura offers so many pearls of wisdom....not just on relocating but on life!

How to have impact in your job search

51m · Published 27 Apr 00:10
Wow wee, this weeks episode is a goodie!! I’m joined by an international confidence speaker, award winning author and personal impact expert; Esther Stanhope. A former senior BBC Producer, she’s interviewed Hollywood stars (Madonna, George Clooney, The Spice Girls, Samuel L Jackson, Arni …Lenny Kratvitz and many more!) and now helps politicians, business leaders and Women in The British Army speak with more impact. Looking for a job is hard enough but throw in the mix hundreds of people applying for the same jobs and interviewing on Zoom, it’s become a bit of a minefield. This episode is guaranteed to boost your confidence, find ways to stand out and make sure you can ace it on camera.

If you're currently looking for work and struggling with the current job market, this is a must listen.

How to Build Resilience

48m · Published 13 Apr 00:00

Are you struggling to stay positive on your job hunt, motivated while working at home or just with keeping it together in these crazy times?  How do we build mental resilience to cope with the challenges life throws at us?  Those were some of the questions I asked Resilience Coach and Wellness Specialist Laura Williams (or as she's better know, The Secret Inspirer).

Laura digs deeps on why we respond to challenges the way we do and how we can meet them head on.  This episode is packed with tips and tricks on how to feel happier and more positive, not just in your career but in life in general.  I could've chatted with her all day.
