An Interview With Danny Kavaldo: The Human Flag

45m · Published 02 Jun 16:00

I knew Danny as a teenage drummer. Danny played drums for Checkmate and Pissed On. Pissed On went on to tour Europe in the 90's. I bet you didn't know that about Danny.

Danny Kavaldo is a personal trainer who has written a total of 8 books on fitness. You may know him from his videos, seminars or published stories you'll find on him as well.

This was an intimate interview that digs deep into Danny's journey from Musician, to Event Planner to Personal Trainer.

Valentina Sanchez Trivella: Making Visible the Invisible

43m · Published 24 Mar 16:56

"MAKE VISIBLE THE INVISIBLE" is a movement that seeks to raise awareness about the importance of cultivating mental health and promoting psychological care as a preventive method in the face of the suicide crisis that is being experienced internationally. Through STIGMA-FREE conversations and educational dynamics, "MAKE VISIBLE THE INVISIBLE" aims to create safe spaces for children, adolescents and adults who have been personally affected by this public health problem, to share their experiences, build a community of support, and a network of information accessible to all.

OUR STORY

“MAKE VISIBLE THE INVISIBLE” was born after its founder, Valentina Sanchez Trivella, lost her mother and her grandmother due to suicide when she was only 16 years old. After experiencing up close the heartbreaking consequences caused by the stigma that still exists, the lack of available resources and the misinformation related to mental health disorders, Valentina makes the decision to share her story publicly for the first time, hoping that it would serve as an example to demonstrate the urgent change that as a society we must create in terms of our understanding and management of mental health. The overwhelming response she received after talking about her experience made clear the long journey and hard work that was ahead of her. From that moment on, Valentina began her journey as a mental health ambassador, becoming a pioneer of the movement in the United States and Venezuela.

Steven is an amazing dad, husband and friend. I asked him to be on Rock City Central to share his story and his Journey. While he doesn't do music full-time, he will one day.
