In this podcast episode we are welcoming back a guest, Maria Xenidou PhD to share more about her journey of success and happiness. Maria talks about how a seemingly illogical decision of not signing a contract that she made based entirely on her intuition opened the door to her freedom, from a bound to be the next level corporate employee to an entrepreneurial influencer, blogger, podcaster and agent of positive change. 

I love how Maria views the importance of health, spending more time on yourself and enjoying one’s life which played a great role to the kind of life that she’s living right now.

Maria and I see eye-to-eye that it should be Life first not Work First. Each of us has the power to change our story the way we want it be!

The only way to thrive as a person is to be happy about yourself, to love what you do and take advantage of the available resources and share them to empower others!

• We must be careful not to trap ourselves in constant go, go, go and starve ourselves from personal one-to-one time. We need one on one time with yourself like we need to breathe every day.

My guest today is Maria Xenidou, Ph.D.

Maria and I met in Seth Godin’s altMBA program. We had the opportunity to interact and learn a little bit more about each other there and we've kept in contact since then. We have been inspiring and informing each other and giving each other feedback on both of our businesses and directions.

I've been really excited and I've wanted to have her on the podcast ever since I had the thought of even having a podcast because I knew she would be great. 

I have to share with all of you that this is going to be a this is going to be a two-fer. This is going to be a two-part episode because Maria has quite a story to share and quite a lot of experience that she's gathered over her few decades on this Earth.

I really feel like her story is going to resonate with a lot of you and she's a wealth of information and very open and honest about things that we go through and challenges that we have and I believe that's going to add a lot of value for everybody that's going to come in contact with this.

Scott and I met because we are both graduates of Set Godin’s altMBA program and active members of the fantastic altMBA alumni community. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find places where you can go to commune connect with other like-minded people – finding your tribe is critical to achieving your best success. Maybe the Thriverz community will be that place for you – that is why I have created it.

Scott Perry is a husband, father, teacher, and musician from Floyd, Virginia.  And I would also like to add to that that he is a Thriver and a Change Agent.  In addition to his music teaching, he is also a coach in Seth Godin's The Marketing Seminar and The Bootstrapper's Workshop and the Founder of Creative On Purpose, which he birthed as a product of graduating from Seth's altMBA program. Since Launching Creative on Purpose, he has also authored two books first The Stoic Creative Handbook, and most recently, just last month the  Endeavor book.

Scott and I connected immediately because we share common beliefs:  Scott (we) believe that Your life is enhanced when you elevate the lives of others.
