On this very special episode, we are joined by comic book writer, creator, filmmaker and founder of the Black Market Narrative creative collective, Kyle Higgins! Kyle takes time out of his busy convention season schedule to chat with Lance about Radiant Black, the quickly approaching Catalyst War, No/One, The Massive-Verse, Power Rangers and so much more! Kyle shares some incredible stories including how Radiant Black evolved over time, the late Jason David Frank's reaction to the creation of Lord Drakkon, how a legendary Power Ranger helped get him through a particularly nasty writer's block while on the road and what remaining IP in comics he wouldn't be able to turn down. Our San Diego Comic Con coverage continues with the Energon Universe Roundtable! We had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Invincible, Void Rivals), Daniel Warren Johnson (Murder Falcon, Do A Powerbomb, Transformers), Joshua Williamson (Nailbiter, Dark Crisis, Cobra Commander, Duke) and Sean Mackiewicz (Skybound Senior Vice President and Editor-In-Chief) to discuss their exciting new comic universe from Skybound which incorporates Void Rivals and fan favorite IPs, Transformers and G.I. Joe! This surreal experience was a dream come true. Not only were there some fun laughs, but these legendary creators provide incredible reveals for how the Energon Universe came to be, how these IPs molded their childhoods and what we can expect moving forward. You do NOT want to miss this issue! Our first wave of issues from SDCC 2023 enter the Morphin Grid!!! Boom! Studios was kind enough to send over an email with a list of creators available for interviews at SDCC so of course I, Lance, jumped at the chance to talk Power Rangers with Melissa Flores and Meghan Camarena. Melissa and Meghan are the co-writers for Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1 which continues the legacy of theHyperforce RPG series. Seriously, if you're a Power Ranger fan, you NEED to watch this series. Melissa and Meghan are an absolute delight. Support their work with Boom!
