What do I take from my time in business?  As you can imagine my career has had its fair share of ups, downs, surprises & disappointments, the great thing is that life in your own business is an ever-changing picture & you really do learn a lot about yourself & the life in general. I decided the last two podcasts of the year would be about the things we all need to work on to stay fully focused on our business journey. Part 1 is about the person & how we can prepare.

I tell a true story about how 10 years ago I met my friend John who is a competitor & since that time we have become good friends and work together on many successful joint ventures, we generate around £130,000 of revenue between us each year. As well as the JV's we help & support each other wherever we can. So don't be afraid to help your competition & look for opportunities that you can work with competitors and build successful partnerships.
