Conscious Parenting: Elevate Your Parenting, Empower Your Child!

1h 22m · Published 14 May 01:19

Welcome to a brand-new Family Edition of The Tony Robbins Podcast! Join Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and their dear friend and podcast host turned surrogate, Mary B., for an intimate, at-home conversation on the topic of CONSCIOUS PARENTING.

In honor of Mother's Day 2024, Tony takes the interviewer's seat and talks to both Sage and Mary about the principles, strategies, tools, and learnings derived from their own journey as mothers. This enlightening conversation transcends traditional notions of parenting, as the trio explores the complexities of modern family dynamics. From blended families, stepparents, same-sex relationships, and co-parenting arrangements, Tony, Sage, and Mary discuss tips for how to make it work on the evolving landscape that is parenthood today.

One of the highlights of this conversation is their working definition of MODERN CONSCIOUS PARENTING -- the shift from stress and fear-based parenting to an empowering and integrative awareness-based parenting.

The family discuss the helpfulness of evolving from high-resistance parenting towards a more mindful, self-reflecting, and self-aware approach. By prioritizing both presence and connection, they explain how parents can create an environment that nurtures the growth of beautiful little human beings – an inside out job. The three also emphasize the significance of our language choices around children, advocating for curiosity over fury and mindfulness over fear. They also share personal anecdotes from their own experiences as parents, highlighting the impact of screen and other stimulus on children's emotional development, creativity, imagination and worldview.

This episode offers invaluable insights for parents, prospective parents, and anyone interested in creating meaningful connections within their families. By embracing conscious parenting practices, Tony, Sage, and Mary invite listeners to embark on a journey of personal growth, self-discovery, and lasting harmony.

Join us as we explore the transformative power of intentional parenting and discover how a slight shift in our focus can lead to profound changes with children and within ourselves!

Tony and Sage address the source of our human suffering -- the mind’s repetitive thoughts and limiting beliefs -- that shape our emotions and drive our behavior. They discuss “The Work” of their dear friend, Byron Katie, renowned author, and teacher whose transformative method of inquiry has inspired countless individuals worldwide to achieve greater self-awareness and emotional freedom.

The purpose of this unique exercise is to demonstrate how questioning thoughts and beliefs leads to inner freedom and deeper connections to life and the people around us. In this video, watch Tony and Sage explain what they do and how they each meet their own thoughts and limiting beliefs with inquisitive curiosity and a genuine desire and willingness to see themselves.

When we choose to live as if our thoughts and beliefs are just that (and not actually absolute truths), we enter the self-inquiry process that leads to broader perspective, greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and inner liberation.

Through four impossibly simple yet powerfully profound questions, The Work of Byron Katie helps disrupt the painful thoughts we’re thinking and believing ultimately fostering our inner freedom and a more fulfilling life. In other words, our most powerful answers can come from simply asking ourselves a few questions!

The four simple questions of 'The Work' will help you uncover truths about yourself and the world around you. Please enjoy this exclusive clip from the Tony Robbins Inner Circle!

"Forgiveness Is Not for Them, It's for You" - Immaculée Ilibagiza

56m · Published 29 Feb 04:13

How large is your capacity for forgiveness? Author and motivational speaker Immaculée Ilibagiza grew up in a small village in Rwanda, Africa. With her loving parents and three brothers, Immaculée excelled in school and eventually went on to study electrical and mechanical engineering at the National University of Rwanda. However, her life took a dramatic turn in 1994.

On April 6 of that year, the assassination of the Rwandan President ignited months of massacres targeting Tutsi tribe members across the country. To protect his daughter from rape and murder, Immaculée's father instructed her to seek refuge at a local pastor's house. There, she hid with seven other women in a cramped 3 x 4-foot bathroom for the next 91 days. Amidst the genocide raging outside, Immaculée battled anger and resentment, which threatened to consume her mind, body, and spirit. It was in this desperate state that she turned to prayer, clutching a set of rosary beads her father had given her. Through prayer and faith, she found the strength to resist hate, even using this dark time to teach herself English using only a Bible and a dictionary.

Emerging from her hiding place after 91 days, Immaculée faced a harrowing reality—her entire family, except for one brother studying abroad, had been brutally murdered. She also discovered the massacre of nearly one million extended family members, friends, neighbors, and fellow Rwandans. Despite unimaginable suffering, Immaculée shocked the world by forgiving the man who had killed her mother and brother.

Immaculée Ilibagiza's story offers profound insights and actionable steps to strengthen emotional resilience, release burdens through forgiveness, and contribute to a greater shift in collective consciousness. To share Immaculée's message of healing and forgiveness, Sage and Tony Robbins are honored to present this powerful moment from a private event with their Platinum Partners in Mexico. Please enjoy!

Watch Your Language! The Power of Spoken Word

58m · Published 14 Jan 23:36

Welcome to another family edition of The Tony Robbins Podcast. In this intimate conversation, you'll hear from Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and their surrogate and family podcast host, Mary B., as they explore the profound POWER of OUR SPOKEN WORDS. In a world where words carry an invisible but undeniable currency, our emotions and therefore the quality of our lives are sculpted by the meanings embedded in the words we choose.

There's power and responsibility within the words we attach to our experience of life – whether in the boardroom, family room, or across the airwaves. If you're feeling “stuck”, “anxiety,” “enraged,” “delighted,” “curious,” or even “depressed,” Tony shows us how to take inventory of the words we consistently use to describe our experience, and how we can consciously select our words to alter our experience of life.

This isn't your typical self-affirmation exercise; it's a powerful exploration of incantations, decrees, prayer, conversation, internal dialogue, and a practice that transformed Tony's life during the challenging times of his early years.

Listen to Tony's personal testimony as he shares -- during despair and uncertainty -- how he turned to incantations as a source of strength and transformation. From being broke and sleeping in a Volkswagen to who he is as a leader, husband, and father today, Tony's incantations have been a constant companion on his 46-year journey of growth, contribution, and impact. As a modern family constellation, Sage, Mary, and Tony also shed light on the transformational vocabulary and the language ratios they work to implement in their home, as well as the contemporary relevance of the power of spoken words, when it comes to the timely topic of freedom of speech and expression. It's an important reminder that our habitual words hold weight in contributing to the broader dialogue that’s shaping our world and our collective relationship with humanity.

Join us for more than just a chat – it's a journey into the power of language. Every word carries the ability to shape, transform, and awaken something within you and NOW is the time to harness this power and use it as we move forward into a new year!

In this critical conversation, Tony sits down with his dear friend Tim Ballard, founder of Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing victims of child sex trafficking, and Jordan Harmon, co-founder of faith-inspired production company Angel Studios. The three delve deep into their powerful new film “Sound of Freedom” (opening this July 4th).
