We all begin the New Year with a fresh and revived spirit, and we mentally reset ourselves to focus on goals we want to accomplish during the year.  Now some common resolutions that we may set for ourselves may include losing weight, investing money, traveling, or just scratching something off of our bucket list.  The problem with most New Year's Resolutions is that after a couple of months into the New Year, those resolutions become an afterthought and they never come to fruition.  In the first episode to kick off season (2) two, Ezekiel and Duke of All Trades give insight on  some daily changes that you can make to help maintain your focus all year long, which can empower you to conquer your New Year's Resolutions.

The Business Plug

When you're an entrepreneur  there are many hats that you have to wear when creating a successful business.  You have to figure out the best strategy on marketing, creating cash flow, accounting, and numerous other aspects that goes into running a company.  In episode 8, Duke of All Trades and Ezekiel Kendrick sat down with Linda Murray Bullard aka The Business Plug.   Linda is an expert strategist that helps newly developed businesses create sound business plans, and locate funding, so they can scale into successful companies.  In our conversation Linda described why some companies fail in the beginning, and she shared some of her expert advice on how she gives businesses a makeover, so they can attain profitability.

Have your low credit scores caused you to be denied a loan for a house, car, or even a credit card?  It can be an embarrassing feeling to be denied credit, but know that you are not alone.  The process starts with you in making that mindset shift to better your credit.  In this episode Ezekiel and Duke of All Trades sat down with Van Wheeler the owner of VW Financial.  Van is a credit repair specialist who gives her insight and tips on how people can improve their credit, and take steps forward to conquering financial freedom.

When you are creating your business it is important to choose the correct entity for your company.  Should your company be a  C Corp, S Corp, sole proprietorship, non- profit, LLC (Limited Liability Corporation), or another business entity altogether.  The thought of that alone can be overwhelming  and seem like a daunting task which may hold some people back from moving forward with forming their business.  In this episode Ezekiel and Duke of All Trades define each business entity, explain why they chose an LLC for their respective companies, and break down the steps  they took in forming an LLC for their businesses.

If you are hunting for your next home, you already know that the real estate market is extremely competitive. In the midst of your search there may be some questions you might ask yourself when purchasing a house.   What's the first step in purchasing a home?  Who pays the realtor fees?  How much do I pay for closing cost?  How do I get financing?  In episode 5, Ezekiel and Duke of All Trades sat down with Atlanta real estate expert Brenda Shaw.  Brenda breaks down today's current real estate market,  gives helpful tips, and her insight on what you need to know when making that life changing decision of purchasing a home.

Managing your monthly expenses is one of the pillars of laying a solid foundation when it comes to taking control of your finances.  We live in a world where we have become inundated with paying monthly bills such as TV subscription services, insurance, utility bills, rent, and the list continues to grow.  Let’s be honest with ourselves, some of our monthly expenses are excessive, and it’s a good practice to go through your full list of expenses on a quarterly basis.  Doing a self-evaluation check on your monthly expenses helps you create a healthy budget.  In this episode Ezekiel and Duke of All Trades discuss ways to “Cut the Fat” on your budget, by breaking down a list of expenses for the common person and giving insight on ways to lower or even exclude some of your current bills.  They also speak in detail about their monthly budget experiences, and how “Cutting the Fat” allowed them to realize how much money they were unknowingly throwing away every month.
