Connecting The Dots - Because despite appearances, the dots are not placed at random.

by Cassie Hubert

So often it can feel as though our lives should be heading on a clear, direct trajectory - finding our passion and achieving our goals - yet in reality, our path of learning and growth is much more like that of a numberless dot-to-dot picture. It can be really hard to articulate what kind of picture we are creating, because the truth is that it's not until we look back at the end of a particular season that we can really begin to see the beauty we've been slowly cultivating.Think of this podcast as a companion on the journey - I'm busy connecting my own dots of artistry, motherhood and everything in between, and as I share what I am learning, I hope to encourage and inspire you to trust your process and lean in to the journey.Original Artwork - Eleanor Oliver & Cassie HubertOriginal Music - Cassie Hubert.

035 Felix Felicis & Other Tangental Clarity

15m · Published 15 Sep 09:00

We so often think that our direction through life should be a linear process - a to b to c, will get us faithfully to z and our goal, and whilst there are some things which benefit from following a clear route (such as a new recipe), life very often has other ideas.

Perhaps as we get more confident trusting that inner voice, we can grow in confidence that - despite appearances - our tangents and detours are actually leading us towards those deeper goals, rather than away from them.

034 Rhythm & Ritual

17m · Published 08 Sep 09:00

** New Season starts today!! **

As we move through the end of Summer into the Autumn and all the changes of rhythm and energy that brings, it can be easy to find ourselves caught up in the strength of the tide and lose ourselves in the potential for stress and crazy.

How can we put in (or take things out) little rituals and shape to our days that offer us a sense of rhythm and an anchor point for feeling like ourselves?

031 How & Why REALLY listening works.

14m · Published 24 Feb 12:00

How often do you really listen?
Do you find that you are only taking in the facts, but missing the connection and the underlying story, or do you struggle when you are on the receiving end of only being half listened to?

Truly listening, learning to go deeper and really hear each other, can be a more complicated process than we think, but it's worth the extra effort and discomfort of becoming aware of any work we need to do in this area.
It does help to connect the dots for artistry and family - and obviously everything in between.
