We were invited to the home of Ole Faarup of the Ole Faarup Kunstfond. Ole is a Danish Art collector with 40 years experience. He began in the 80s in New York with Basquiat and Warhol and believes strongly in supporting new young artists. We talked about his collection, collecting and how it will go on living after he is gone.

Also on this episode, we talked with Mattis Curth of Art Land. Art Land is a phone and tablet app focused on servicing young collectors. The company believes in making information available to potential buyers to improve their art buying experience. Mattis and his brother got the idea for the app during their masters when they became art enthusiasts.

The music included in this episode is Chynna, who will be performing at Vega December 3rd 2018.

It's Art Fair weekend in Copenhagen! Code Art Fair 2018 will take place at the Bella Center from August 30th until September 2nd. Code Art Fair brings over 60 international galleries to Denmark, all hoping to introduce their artists to the Scandinavian market. This episode includes;Tristian Koenig (Melbourne), Bernak Kharabi from Zilberman Gallery (Berlin/ Instanbul), Alise Careva from Careva Contemporary (Riga) and Josee Bienvenue (New York) with music by FAKA. The gallerists explain the importance of Code Art Fair and why they're traveling all the way to Denmark.

This episode previews gallerists participating in Chart Art Fair 2018 in Copenhagen at Kunsthal Charlottenborg from August 31st to September 2nd. It featuresMagnus Karlsson (Sweden), SaraBerner Bengtsson fromGalerie Forsblom (Finland/ Sweden) and Timothy Persons from Gallery Taik Persons (Berlin); with music by Ravi Kumar. Chart Art Fair is made up of 32 of the most influential galleries in The Scandinavian and Nordic regions. Brandon talked to the gallerists about the artists they will show at the fair, their galleries program and what patrons should expect at such a young and prestigious fair.

Galleri Magnus Karlsson will have a solo exhibition of Peter Köhler's water color drawings from his "Crepuscular Tales" series. Magnus explained where he believes drawing as a medium is placed in relation to the current art ecosystem.

Galerie Forsblumwill exhibit works byMatthias van Arkeland a semi-documentary, titled "HEAVY," directed byTheo Bat Schandorff about the gallery's artist,Toni R. Toivonen’s life and work. Sara defines semi-documentary and why art fairs are necessary in the current art market.

Timothy Persons and his gallery will exhibit photographic works from his Helsinki School Artists. The Helsinki School is an educational approach dating back over 20 years to Aalto University and is currently in its 5th generation. He believes The Helsinki School methodology has been able to raise the standard of artistic practice for Finnish artists.
