Ghosts of Boyfriends Past

by That's Not Canon Productions

LET’S TALK ABOUT EX, BABY! AH CRAPPY RELATIONSHIPS, THE BANE OF OUR COLLECTIVE EXISTENCE. BUT WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES? Former relationship columnist Elizabeth Best and current all-round funny guy Tom Harris chat to guests about the couple fail stories we all like to recount over drinks (because let’s face it, sometimes we need booze to cope). Ghosts of Boyfriends past will take you on a journey through the funny, tragic, horrifying and sometimes just plain bonkers stories about that crazy little thing called love, and try to wind up wiser for it. It’s like a group therapy session... with two people completely unqualified to be leading it.

Judith and No Sex at Work

45m · Published 12 Jul 19:34

Is an office romance worth it? Author Judith Beck says absolutely not.

Judith Beck is author of ‘No Sex at Work’ and co-host of 'Every Step' podcast. The 'Every Step' podcast features executives from around the world having honest conversations on how to get from A to B successfully in your career.

After working in Banking and Finance, Judiths entrepreneurial desire led her to form her own national executive search firm, Financial Recruitment Group, which she ran as Managing Director for over 25 years. Judith successfully placed hundreds of candidates at Senior to MD level and was a mentor to some of Australia's most successful executives. This experience gave Judith the opportunity to clearly see why some people rise to the top and others don’t.

To follow her passion for helping women achieve their goals, in 2012 she founded Financial Executive Women (FEW) and was CEO until June 2020. Judith also founded FEW Good Men which has some of Australia’s most senior men volunteering to be Advocates to Senior Women. In 2020, to give back to the industry Judith decided it was time to pass the baton for the FEW business to the next generation, to take the already successful business to its next level of success.

Judith is a sought-after Keynote Speaker on topics such as - but not limited to - Leadership, How to be a Top Ten Percenter, Effective Communication, Effective Public Speaking, Recruitment as the Manager and as the candidate. She also has her popular ‘No Sex at Work’ Q&A book club for corporate clients.

Shane and the Collaboration

43m · Published 14 Jun 17:00

Shane thought he’d hit the jackpot when he found a girlfriend he could make beautiful music with… literally. But then he found out that they both had VERY different ways of working.

Shane Fell is a Brisbane based musician and songwriter. He dabbled in theatre with the Villanova Players, the Brisbane Eisteddfod and studied drama at QUT, but acting soon gave way to a passion for music, resulting in his debut solo EP ‘Off the Rails’. He is better known today for his work with the Horror-Blues quintet ‘Shakes Fear and the Skeleton Gang’, where his theatre background gives a dramatic flourish and a love for storytelling through song. The band released their debut album ‘Find Me a Grave, Man’ in 2021.
