Ep.153: I Used To Like 'Ri¢hie Ri¢h'.

1h 15m · Published 17 Nov 07:00

Culkvember rolls on when this week, Shawn and Colin take a look at the movie that inspired a hiatus from acting for our hero, the comicbook adaptation 'Ri¢hie Ri¢h'. Up to this point, everything has had a Kevin McCallister tint on it, is this another film that could just be a pseudo-sequel to Home Alone? We discuss the technology and business savvy of this 12 year old boy and that one elusive thing his money just cannot buy... friends. Or maybe this movie proves money CAN buy friends. It's all a little muddy. What did we think of this gem? Tune in to find out!

Ep.152: I Used To Like 'Uncle Buck'.

1h 38m · Published 10 Nov 07:00

CULKVEMBER rolls on and this week, Shawn and Colin are going back to the beginning of our hero's career, to look at the 1989 John Hughes comedy classic 'Uncle Buck'. Sure, our man for the month only has a supporting role in this one, but what a support it is! We get into everything John Candy on this one because, let's face it, he's the real man of the hour on this one. We discuss more 80s inexplicable wealth, the subtle comedy genius of some moments, a missing back story, adorable and angsty children and so much more. In the whole grand scheme of Culkin flicks, where does this line up for us? Tune in to find out!

Culk-Vember has begun! Four weeks of the man, the myth, the legend... Mr. Macaulay Culkin. Closing out our Halloween movies for 2023, this week, Shawn and Colin take a look at the ghost with the most, the 80's horror comedy 'Beetlejuice'. We discuss all those important topics such as the youthful appearance of Alec Baldwin, the quaintness of the effects, the aggressive Tim Burton-ness, town model updating, the upcoming sequel, more Harry Bellefonte than you can shake a stick at and so much more. Where does this fall in the Burton-verse? Will the tallyman tally my bananas? Is it still good? Tune in to find out!

No, not the Nicolas Cage version... This week, Shawn and Colin welcome back guest David Owen, to discuss what the hell is going on in the 1973 original cult-classic 'The Wicker Man'. Ep.145: I Used To Like 'Liar Liar'.

1h 22m · Published 15 Sep 04:00

It's time for a true classic, because this week, Shawn and Colin are taking a look at the all-time classic Citizen Kane. Wait... did you believe me there? Because you shouldn't have... that was a LIE! Which is fitting because this week, what we're REALLY discussing, is the Godfather. Nope. That's a lie too! You may have figured it out by now (in what I thought was a hilarious bit, though you may disagree) that we're actually discussing the Jim Carrey classic comedy The Number 23... HA!! STILL LYING!!! This is terrible. What did we think of it? Tune in to find out!

***Editor's note: 'Liar Liar' is the movie.***
