Maurice made his first appearance in a feature film with Love Different, starring Thomas Mikal Ford and Oscar-nominated actress, Jenn Gotzon. Love Different went on to win the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the International Christian Film Festival in 2016.

Selling Your Script – Sean Paul Murphy

Screenwriter Sean Paul Murphy is on the Creatively Christian podcast, interviewed by Brannon Hollingsworth. In this episode, Sean discusses the current best ways to query agents and producers with your scripts, including the pros and cons of contests and how to find the contact information for the right people. Sean also talks about writing faith-based scripts, how to decide what jobs to take, and writing in different genres. Lastly, he discusses his approach to telling meaningful stories.
Sean Paul Murphy is an author and award-winning screenwriter. He has written fourteen feature films including Hidden Secrets, Sarah’s Choice, The Encounter, and the Revelation Road trilogy. He is a 2012 winner of the Kairos Prize for Screenwriting. A series of short true-crime films he wrote for the FBI won a combined six Emmys on the Pentagon Channel. He is the author of a memoir The Promise, or the Pros and Cons of Talking with God, and a novel Chapel Street, which was inspired by a haunting his family experienced. Both books were traditionally published by TouchPoint Press. A streaming series based on his Revelation Road films is currently being shot by Sony in South Africa. He also works for Discovery and periodically teaches screenwriting at Towson University.

Artist and author Makoto Fujimura is on the Creatively Christian podcast, interviewed by Andrea Sandefur. In this conversation, Makoto discusses our opportunity to honor our brokenness through our making. He also answers listener questions about how artists can address culture, what it means to inhabit a divided world, and stillness in the creative process.
Makoto Fujimura is a leading contemporary artist. Fujimura graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University, then studied in a traditional Japanese painting doctorate program for several years at Tokyo University of the Arts with several notable artists. Fujimura’s art has been featured widely in galleries and museums around the world, and is collected by notable collections including The Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, The Huntington Library as well as Tikotin Museum in Israel. As well as being a leading contemporary painter, Fujimura is also an arts advocate, writer, and speaker who is recognized worldwide as a cultural influencer. A Presidential appointee to the National Council on the Arts from 2003-2009, Fujimura has also written the books Refractions, Culture Care, and Art + Faith.

Also joining us is Ian Dunlop, a musician, writer, and director of sound and music ministries at two Indianapolis area churches. Award-winning author Rick E. Norris has taught the Bible to adults and Sunday school to teens for thirty-one years. Since 2011, he has volunteered as an international online missionary for a Christian non-profit where he disciples individuals and answers biblical questions. Angelic Wars: First Rebellion received a second-place award by the 2020 Catholic Press Association. Rick earned a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1979 and law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1985. He is a songwriter/musician and member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences as well as the creator and the co-host of the Rambling Business podcast.
