In this episode, we're talking about festivals and sustainability. What is the environmental impact of festivals? How can festivals be more sustainable? Which are the challenges that organisers are facing? We try to answers these and more questions with Gabija Zakarauskaite and Sam Holt. Gabija is an architect who specialises in sustainable development and low-impact living. Sam is a structural engineer, event organiser and Dj; together they have been organising the JATS Jumpin' At The Seaside Festival since 2015. Based in Brighton, it is a swing dance event with a clear sustainable agenda.

Fashionclash is a Maastricht based showcase platform for fashion as well as worldwide network of emerging designers and artists. Not only they recognise and encourage young sustainable designers, but they also raise awareness about sustainability amongst a larger audience. Two of their projects with a strong sustainable ethos are the Fashion Makes Sense Award and Taskforce Fashion. We discuss Fashionclash's view on sustainability, how the fashion industry can adapt to the climate crisis and the role of designers and of the industry at large. We also understand how individuals, can make new, sustainable fashion choices.
