Ryan was selected No. 2 overall in the 1998 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers and spent four years in the NFL. After his NFL concluded is where his true journey unfolds, as he battled with a drug addiction that ultimately led to a three-year prison sentence. Ryan shares his personal story, detailing all aspects of his rise, his fall, and his subsequent rebirth.
Today, Ryan is a television analyst, radio host, and motivational speaker. His greatest accomplishment was founding the Focused Intensity Foundation, which sponsors rehabilitation stays for those in need. Ryan is an advocate for those struggling with mental, and behavioral health issues. Ryan works to eliminate the mental health stigma and says, "asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness."
