Anchoring Thoughts in the Sea of Now

21m · Published 03 Jan 16:00

Picture this: you're sipping a perfectly brewed coffee amidst the rolling waves of the Atlantic, the vast ocean whispering tales of the present moment. That's where my good friend Brian Mullen and I found ourselves, ensconced in a floating café, musing over life's simple pleasures and complexities. Today's episode is an intimate foray into the art of staying grounded in the now, a challenge we all face in a world clamoring for our attention. As Brian unfolds his journey through the rigors of college and a future in broadcast journalism, we unpack the essence of mindfulness in the chaos, the sweet victory of recovered belongings, and the lure of personal growth through setting and achieving meaningful goals.

Amidst the ebb and flow of conversation, laughter, and the hum of the ship, we explore the quirks of navigating life with ADHD and the strategies that help us anchor our wandering minds. Whether it's the attachment of AirPods to keychains to avoid the pain of loss or the triumph of engrossing oneself in a book that reignites the love for reading, our exchange is a treasure trove of relatable anecdotes and insights. We ponder the 'point of no return' in our pursuits and the importance of carving a path towards success, one focused goal at a time. So, pull up a chair and join us on this voyage where being present isn't just a concept, it's the compass by which we navigate the seas of life and creativity.

How 50 Cups of Coffee Can Change Your Life

Raising investment, changing careers, or leaving your city? Then you owe it to yourself to have coffee with 50 people.

Each time I make a significant change in my life, I have coffee with 50 people to get their views on my plans.

If you’re raising investment for a start-up, changing careers, or moving to a new city, then you owe it to yourself to have coffee with 50 people before making the jump.

Setting the goal of having coffee with 50 people forces you to be clear about your goals. Making the goal public, one person at a time, also makes it much stronger. Overview

Network Lead Exchange is an online network of businesses organized by Chapters or Regions with the intent of promoting new business referrals across the Network to other businesses within their Chapter.

Members earn commissions for the referrals they send and gain access to a new source of leads from businesses they know and trust. Chapters or Regions are sold as franchises.

Franchise owners can invite other businesses in their area to join their Chapter with one participating business per category (based on product or service designator).

Once a new member joins under a specific category, no other businesses that sell the same product or offer the same service can join the Exchange in that Chapter.

Each business that joins the Exchange will set up a profile for their business that details their business category, products and services offered, promotions, and more.

On the Exchange, members will have the opportunity to network with one another and will be able to track referrals sent and received and sales generated from the Exchange.

Through the platform, members will exchange ideas, share promotions and events, learn from pros and access a network of service providers that provide specific incentives to all members across Network Lead Exchange.

Rob and his wife took full advantage of the downtime caused by COVID and created a beautiful family with two kids under two. They share stories of rebuilding life as photographers and maintaining positivity after COVID.

Rob Trendiak is an entrepreneur who loves to help others. He has a fun and positive outlook on life, which is evident in his stylish green hair. Rob and how wife also owns three hair salons in Vancouver, British Columbia, so he knows a thing or two about the beauty industry too!
