Five time winner of the People's Choice Podcast Award for Best LGBT podcast.
We've done thousands of shows with wonderfully wild people, LGBTQ legends and their friends, and tackle the tough questions like: is Sasquatch a drag queen? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop?

FOF #226 – Puertorican Rainforest Soundscape

32m · Published 18 Jan 04:58
One of the most beautiful sounds that comes out of Puerto Rico besides the music itself, is the ambient gorgeous sounds of the tropical rainforest. Full of life, the ears explode in a majestic lush of sound that can only come from a dense canopy of thousands of lifeforms calling out to each other.

http://welcome.topuertorico.org/reference/yunque.shtml

Okay, I’m waxing a bit too much poetic, but I AM from Puerto Rico. This music and these sounds and the Yunque itself (the name for the mountain/preserve) are a big part of my psyche, my personality and my idenity. So indulge me!

Listen as Marc and Fausto take you on an audio tour of El Yunque Caribbean National Forest and some lovely Puerto Rican music, old and new.

Check out these pics from our adventure in the rainforest.

FOF #213 – That’s Why the Lady Bunny is a Tramp

1h 7m · Published 20 Dec 20:41
Even though we poke a lot of fun at Lady Bunny, we hold her in high regard as a gay entertainment legend. Listen to this in-depth interview where Bunny explains how she comes up with her material, why she dresses the way she does and why her mama is so gosh darn proud of her son/daughter.

[Originally posted on December 20, 2005.]

Subversive and perversive,THE Lady Bunny joins us today to talk about her debut DVD “X-Rated: For X-tra Retarded” a video collection of her greatest hits from her nightclub comedy act.

From her hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lady Bunny moved to Atlanta to go to Georgia State University. She then later moved to New York City to become part of a vibrant community of drag performers in the 1980s. She still resides in NYC but you can catch her act all over the world.

Lady Bunny’s probably best known for organizing and founding the New York City Outdoor Drag Festival Wigstock, which in 1995 became the subject of a documentary “Wigstock The Movie” directed by Barry Shills.

In addition to emceeing the annual Wigstock event for over 20 years she’s a well known DJ, promoter, and comedian.

Bunny’s blog is a sharp, politically aware and at times loopy take on current affairs and cultural issues. It is truly extraordinary.

Listen to Lady Bunny talk about Pamela Anderson and the Comedy Central Roast, the politics of drag and her former roommate RuPaul, and her mother Lady Becky, who threatens to run onto the stage and steal the show with her tambourine. Wouldn’t that be a sight!

FOF #205 – Kathy Griffin: the D-List Diva

51m · Published 09 Dec 04:22
Comedian Kathy Griffin was delighted upon seeing our resident drag queen Victoria Lamarr impresonating her last week when she flew into town to host Malibu Rum’s Holiday Self-Decorating Contest at Duffy’s.

Today we talk to our favorite fiery redhead Kathy Griffin in the back seat of her limo about breastfeeding, Star Jones, her parents, and Jerry Seinfeld. We had such a good time Fausto wound up grabbing her right breast to see if they were real or not, a la Tyra Banks. Are they REAL? Listen and find out!

Check out these fab photos of Kathy Griffin and Victoria Lamarr looking like twins. Be sure to check out Kathy’s own website kathygriffin.net where she has a photo gallery of her and Clay Aiken taken together.

On todays show, lots of gay prison news, supermarkets using porn to sell onion choppers, Viagra sales deflating, and why most self-respecting gays hate Robbie WIlliams. BONUS: George Grant with the news from Europe!

FOF #101 - Holly Woodlawn: A Low Life in High Heels (part 2)

50m · Published 28 Jun 19:11
Holly Woodlawn returns! You wanted more, you got it! Today we have part two of our fabulous conversation with THE Andy Warhol Superstar, the legendary Holly Woodlawn who talks about what kind of food she would be made from if Madame Tussot's Wax Museum were to make a sculpture of her out of food (like the chocolate Elton John statue.)

Also on today's show Marc and Fausto talk about the brand-new iTunes 4.9 and why it's getting all the podcasters (people like us) panties in a bunch. But don't worry, we're not going anywhere! Part 2 of 2.

FOF #100 - Holly Woodlawn: A Low Life in High Heels (part 1)

53m · Published 27 Jun 19:09
Today we celebrate our 100th show with a fabulous conversation with the film actress, cabaret signer, author and living legend Holly Woodlawn about her book "A Low Life in High Heels" that's being made into a film.

Holly Woodlawn was one of the first breakout Andy Warhol Superstars -people who were famous in New York in the late 70's for being their outrageous selves, and for being in his (actually Paul Morrisey's) films. They're the ones who started the saying "Famous for Fifteen Minutes," which mean that fame was short-lived and that celebrites had a tendency to burn bright and die young. What makes Holly Woodlawn even more extraordinary is that she has outlasted a lot of her peers because of luck, sheer will, and a generous optimism and love for humanity.

Listen as two generations of Puerto Rican drag queens (Fausto and Holly) match wits, widsom and warmth in this truly fab interview. (Part 1 of 2)
