Hosted by Puerto Rican drag queen Fausto Fernós and his husband, Norwegian reality TV star Marc Felion, Feast of Fun began as one of the original 50 podcasts featured on iTunes in 2006, and celebrated by Apple: Feast of Fun "helped bring podcasting from an underground movement to a mainstream phenomenon." Five time winner of the People's Choice Podcast Award for Best LGBT podcast.

Nothing says Christmas like quite Charlene Unger, a demented housewife from Berwyn, Illinois whose bubbly enthusiasm for singing in her nightgowns is paired beautifully with her obsession for growing poinsettias.
Created by comedian Peter Mohawk in the 80s, Charlene was a huge fixture in Chicago’s entertainment scene, appearing on Oprah with Cyndi Lauper, in a Cooking Drag Queen TV show pilot with William Shatner and even featured on the cover of *NSYNC’s final album “Celebrity.”
Today Peter Mohawk looks back on his career as Charlene Unger as we talk about Chicago’s nightclub and comedy scene in the 90s, sharing a dressing room with Patrick Swayze, and her obsession with poinsettias as a kooky old lady from Berwyn, Illinois.

As with any new technology it comes with its own set of drawbacks like databases that steal the work of artists to learn their style that could ultimately put them out of business.

HIGH PROTEIN SWEET POTATO PIE:
Whip together:
1 Pound Sweet Potatoes (roasted and cooled in oven)
1/2 cup almond milk
2 large
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
2 Scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
¾ Cup Sweetener (stevia, monkfruit etc)
2 Large Whole Eggs
½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Pour batter into a non-stick sprayed pie plate, bake at a 350 degree oven for one hour, then cool, then refrigerate overnight (or at least 3 hours.)
Serve with stevia/monkfruit sweetened whipped cream or pre-made light whipped cream from a bottle.

Courtney Act Looks Back on Her Life as a Drag Icon

The drag entertainer Shane Jenek, better known to the world as Courtney Act, has lived a pretty remarkable life and she’s just getting started.
A front runner on season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Courtney’s season included many memorable people and moments that became a big part of queer culture.
But it wasn’t all fun, glitter and games. The show had issues with its lack of trans representation which put Courtney in the awkward situation of getting blocked by host RuPaul on Twitter for speaking out against the silent ban.
Ironically, today gender is more fluid than ever, and it feels like all the contestants on Drag Race are either trans or non binary.

Fearlessly Building Muscle: Derek Bolt

When it comes to building muscle, it helps to fearlessly be yourself. Amateur bodybuilder Derek Bolt raised eyebrows and shook the bigots when he competed in a bodybuilding contest wearing purple nail polish that matched his purple posing trunks.
Although Derek loved the presentation, he felt the look, along with his career as a film star, was too much for the judges and hurt his ranking in the contest.

Derek shares his yummy recipe for anabolic fried rice:
DEREK BOLT'S ANABOLIC FRIED RICE:
• 200g cubed steak (grilled)
• 200g cooked rice
• Sliced peppers
• Sliced onion
• Sliced baby portabella mushrooms
• Snap peas
• Broccoli
• 1T minced ginger
• 1T minced garlic
• Soy sauce
• Sriracha
• Dash of MSG (optional)
Put peppers, onions, mushrooms, snap peas, and broccoli into a nonstick pan. Add one spritz of Pam or olive oil spray and cook over medium heat until veggies are soft. Add minced ginger and garlic, cook until aromatic. Add steak and rice and continue to cook until warm. Add soy sauce, sriracha, and MSG and stir till thoroughly combined. Remove from heat and serve.

As more folks got into the festivities, so did parent’s anxieties over their kids' candy being poisoned by wicked strangers.
But for all the fear mongering out there, over the past hundred years there have only been a handful of cases involving kids being hurt or killed by tainted treats, and it was usually the kid’s own parents who did the dastardly deed.
That’s right folks, the person most likely to poison your child’s Halloween candy is you.
Today we’re taking a look at real-life Halloween candy horror stories, the few cases that made parents want to x-ray their kids' bags of treats at the hospital every year.
