Ren Quillian: Rainbows and Punchlines : The Comedic Journey

41m · Published 30 Apr 15:03
I got to have the very funny and very stylish Ren Quillian on the show this week . We're both going to be on the psychedelic comedy show with AJ Finney, headlining at the Bug Theater . It's going to be a great time ! Ren brought us on his journey of growing up on the East Coast to moving out here and the comedic everything along the way. Since we are doing the psychedelic show next week, we divulge what psychedelic should an audience member be on to enjoy our styles of comedy! Be sure to yield our suggestions, and you'll never guess who said what! I learned so much from this interview; they're genuine human being! Their comedy speaks for itself; it's engaging, witty, and stylish, even past the cool threads they wore to the interview! Ren and I also, during the interview, had fun making props for the sketch we were doing next week ; (*fair warning*) republican fans will not approve !

Solo at Blizztronics

24m · Published 18 Apr 21:40

I had big news this past Saturday and I was determined to celebrate this big news by seeing SUBTRONICS at Red Rocks. The day of the show a full on blizzard occurs; my friends bail, but I'm determined to celebrate! Do you feel personally victimized by the idea of going to a concert by yourself? It can be scary, it can be overwhelming, it can bring out every anxiety you can think of. But you can also fight that by doing little things to get over the fear of the crowds that anxieties the overwhelming feeling of people seeming like they're multiplying by the second and not dispersing. Going to a concert by yourself not only has a benefit of freedom and emotional benefits and practical benefits there's a plethora of things honestly. Having the ability to choose your own schedule to go to a show is something that people do not talk about enough. You can leave early and beat the traffic home or you can stay all day and all night it's really up to you and you alone. Doesn't that sound empowering? You also get the ability to connect with new people that maybe you wouldn't have in a group like setting. There's an emotional benefit by being able to fully immerse yourself in the music and the ability to reflect and connect with said emerging. there's practical benefits as well, like you're only buying drinks for yourself not for people. you get the opportunity to see more shows because you don't have to coordinate with other people doesn't that sound empowering but it was a great Cyclops rocks 2023 will be going back next year!

Isn't Life About Comedic Timing or Just Regular Timing : Mary Jo Byrd and Billie Jo Gillispie

35m · Published 04 Apr 17:33

I went on a my 1st comedy tour to Arizona and New Mexico, and I was expecting some hot audiences. But I wasn't prepared for just how hot it would be. I mean, I've never seen so many cacti sweating before! Also it seems to be the land of giant "eggplant" looking cacti, just growing a muck in the national parks down there. Mary Jo and Billie Jo have been killing it in the Denver and Albuquerque comedy scene for around a decade! Both come from very unique backgrounds but I had so much fun on my last tour . It only felt appropriate to have some comedian veterans such as themselves on the show ; especially female comedians because we're a fewer and farther bunch to locate in the scene. Albuquerque, outside of Breaking Bad Tours, has a thriving comedy scene, especially at Dry Heat Comedy Club. If you haven't checked out Dry Heat and you're in Albuquerque , what are you even doing? The music scene has a few up and coming bands definitely worthy of checking out like Dust City Opera and Red Light Camera. If you're Denver based , Billie Jo has a psychedelic comedy show coming up in May, with a killer line-up , you don't want to miss! Be sure to check these ladies out , there dope comedians and and people!
