This episodes guest is Cameron Josse.  Cam is currently in his second season as an athletic performance coach with the football program at Indiana University Bloomington.  Cams bio:

• Owns seven years of experience preparing and managing multiple levels of athletes.

• Trained over 40 professional athletes, including NFL, NHL, UFC and WWE talents.

• Came to IU from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he served as associate director of football performance.

• Spent eight years working with DeFranco’s Training Systems (2013-14), DeFranco’s Gym at the Onnit Academy (2014-16) and DeFranco’s Training & Consulting (2016-20). 

• Earned his bachelor of science in kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island and his master’s degree in exercise science from William Patterson University.

With over 20 years of experience of working in a wide range of sporting environments with athletes, teams and organisations Greg Muller is a premier human performance and leadership training coach. Having worked and trained in many countries including New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA, Japan, United Kingdom and Ireland Greg has had success with athletes and sports teams including rugby, softball, racquet sports, martial arts, gymnastics, swimming, hockey, elite force soldiers, business executives and sporting/business organisations.

Highly trained and qualified in numerous fields related to human performance Greg has trained extensively through the CHEK Institute in the USA and also holds a Masters Degree in Leadership, Innovation and Change from York St John’s University in the UK.

Dave O’Sullivan is a consultant rugby physiotherapist for England Rugby Union who has worked at the 2019 Rugby Union World Cup in Japan and the 2020 Six Nations. He was also the England Rugby League Physiotherapist for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup in Australia. Dave has the unique honour to being involved in a World Cup Final in Rugby League and Rugby Union. Dave also is the clinical director of ProSport Physiotherapy in Huddersfield where he has a 5 treatment room private practice with 12 staf .

Dave is also currently working with Huddersfield Giants, Warrington Wolves and Hull F.C and mentoring their Head Physiotherapists along side working with Professional Golfers and other top sporting professionals.

Dave set up The ProSport Academy ‘Go-To’ Therapist Mentorship in 2015 to give therapists an opportunity to learn how to treat the cause and not just the patient’s symptoms. Joel Smith, MS, CSCS is a NCAA Division I Strength Coach working in the PAC12 conference.  He has been a track and field jumper and javelin thrower, track coach, strength coach, personal trainer, researcher, writer and lecturer in his 8 years in the professional field.  His degrees in exercise science have been earned from Cedarville University in 2006 (BA) and Wisconsin LaCrosse (MS) in 2008.  Prior to California, Joel was a track coach, strength coach and lecturer at Wilmington College of Ohio.  During Joel’s coaching tenure at Wilmington, he guided 8 athletes to NCAA All-American performances including a national champion in the women’s 55m dash.  In 2011, Joel started Just Fly Sports with Jake Clark in an effort to bring relevant training information to the everyday coach and athlete.  Aside from the NSCA, Joel is certified through USA Track and Field and his hope is to bridge the gap between understandable theory and current coaching practices.

Ryan has worked with Dr. Harrison on improving athlete’s visual performance on the field since 1999.   Through the years he has worked hundreds of baseball stars including position players,; Carlos Beltran, Mike Sweeney, Sean Casey, Jose Guillen, Jonny Gomes, Adam Dunn, Angel Pagan, Giancarlo Stanton and Hunter Pence in the 2000’s, and  Rajai Davis, Hunter Pence, Joe Panik, Matt Duffy, Conor Gillaspie, Ryan Goins, Kevin Pillar and Trevor Brown in recent years. He currently working 2012, 2010 and 2014 World Champions San Francisco Giants.  He previously has worked with the Toronto Blue Jays 2011-2015 and Philadelphia Phillies 2009-2012 as well as 9 other Professional Baseball Organizations over the last 14 years.

 

Collegiately he has worked with the 2016 NCAA Champions Coastal Carolina, the 2012 NCAA Champions Arizona Wildcats,  the 2013 NCAA Champions UCLA Bruins, as well as Oregon State, Wichita State, Kentucky, and Long Beach State.  Ryan has worked with many Collegiate Softball programs, individual athletes in various sports such as MMA, Motocross, NHL, NFL, WTA, AVP, PGA.   Following his work with top professional and amateur athletes, he conceived the idea of training necessary performance skills with digital technology. The STGD Athlete APP and SportsEyesite™ software is a result of his goal to develop training products so that everyone could benefit at a fraction of the cost of having this training and without the need to go to a specialty clinic.

This episode's guests are Shawn Sherman and Dan Fichter. Shawn earned his Exercise and Sport Science degree from Penn State University and operates a private practice in Western Springs, Illinois. Over the years, Shawn has held numerous industry certifications and therefore understands what and how the conventionalists think and believe. Over the past 25 years, his understanding of movement has evolved from that of an apprentice level to a level of mastery by continually seeking answers to his questions. Because he now intimately and thoroughly understands the most basic components of movement, he brings an unparalleled perspective to the table. Not only does he consistently deliver absolutely amazing results to his clients, he teaches his students to be able to do the same. Dan Fichter owns and operates Wannagetfast Power/Speed Training, a performance training business in the Upstate NY area that offers training to elite athletes. Dan has traveled the country speaking to numerous coaches on speed training, strength training, and nervous system development and has showed them how to pull these elements into a comprehensive package that can substantially elevate an athlete’s speed, strength, and movement capabilities. Dan has coached football at the high school and college level for over 20 years and is currently the Head Football Coach at Irondequoit High School in Rochester NY. In 6 years as the head coach, he has won 2 Sectional Titles to add to the 6 he’s won as a head track coach at the same high school.
