Ep18: Top 5 Video Games to Play During "Shelter in Place" w/ Zak Fennie

1h 7m · Published 08 Apr 01:00

We've been stuck at home for a few weeks now. What better way to pass the time than play video games??!

Zak and I are not what I would describe as video game aficionados, but we're both life time fans of video games and have a lot of fun playing them. We also have very different tastes in video games, so our lists are pretty different.

Ranging from the old school to the new school, RPGs to sports to platforms, we count down our favorite video games to play while we're here self isolating at home.

Also - a review of WrestleMania 36 and a fun DoorDash story starring (former guest of the podcast) our Dad!

Ep17: Top 5 WrestleMania Matches from Past 10 Years

47m · Published 01 Apr 00:00

WrestleMania is coming up THIS WEEKEND! It's going to be "historical" as they say, because it's the first Mania without a crowd due to this awful coronavirus pandemic. I am just thankful they're still having it - as pretty much all other live entertainment has been shut down in the mean time.

With Mania looming, I thought it would be fun to dip back into the history of WrestleMania. Being so vast and having 35 years to choose from, I narrowed it down to the last 10 years and chose my 5 favorite matches from WrestleMania's 25-35. There was a lot of great matches to choose from, but I narrowed it down to these 5:

5. Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles from WM32
4. Sting vs. Triple H from WM31
3. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy from WM25
2. Daniel Bryan v. Triple H from WM30
1. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels from WM25

Bust out your WWE Network and check out some of these classics!

Ep16: Top 5 Napa Eats (Pt 2!) w/ Erin Brock & Tristan Cline

54m · Published 25 Mar 03:00

Part 2 of our countdown of our favorite Napa-area eateries. I am joined by local Napkins Tristan Cline & Erin Brock, two folks who love their local food.

During this time of "sheltering in place", a lot of businesses and people have suffered. It's important to support local businesses as much as we can, and Napa happens to have a lot of great restaurants that need us now. We aren't able to go eat at these places right now, but most everywhere is offering takeout or delivery.

Interested in some great Mexican? Maybe you prefer Italian? Sushi? Check out some great places for your next takeout meal!

Listed in this episode:
Tres Hermanos 3
Sushi Mambo
Papa Joe's Pizza
Don Perico Mexican
Filippi's Pizza
Pizzeria Azzuro

Ep15: Top 5 Napa Eats (Part 1) w/ Tristan Cline & Erin Brock

46m · Published 18 Mar 02:00

This is a topic I have been wanting to do for a few weeks. It came about that this week was going to be the week to do it, and the day we sat down to record it, the Governor of California declared that all restaurants should decrease their capacity by 50%. Since then, most restaurants in the Bay Area and in California have been relegated to take out and delivery only - as we talk about in the episode.

So, while we're all sitting at home, we've gotta eat right? The grocery stores are not as stocked as you might want, and maybe you're not as prepared as you wished you would be. What do you do? Order some delivery, go grab some take out. If you're living in the Napa area, all of the recommendations on this list are great options for a dinner or lunch eaten at home.

Tristan and Erin had some great suggestions, and between the three of us there is a ton of food experience here where we were born and raised. There's also a big variety here, so whatever you're in the mood for or whatever type of craving you are feeling - you'll probably find something you want to eat on this list.

This episode has turned into a 2-parter, the second half will be released next week.
