La Vida Loca : Alex Diaz

"Two roads diverged in the wood, and I, I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference. " ~ Robert Frost About 14 years back, Alex had a choice to move to a new country and propagate a novel art form in this foreign land or stay in his comfort zone. He took a leap of faith and put his next 6 months at stake to move to India with no visibility of what life had in store for him. His only insurance was the stories he would tell of his adventures if things went kaput. 14 years fast forward - He has a story to tell and an impact to laud!   A first generation Cuban-American, his love and passion for dance (and adventures! :D)  inspired him to take the road less traveled and find home in a new country ,culture and crowd. His journey is a testimony to many things- Following your heart can take you places (literally!), We're all united by things that inspire joy and positivity regardless of how different we may be from each other, kindness and humility go a long way in making a difference to lives.  As a student of Alex, I have witnessed the impact he's created in the Latin dance community of India and the respect he's garnered amongst dance lovers. His dedication to promoting this art form in its most authentic form and helping lives transform through dancing is an inspiration!
