Dr. Laura E. Baker, professor of history and American studies, shares her multimedia "mini-book" project that rewrites the American immigrant experience outside of and beyond the Ellis Island model.

The Marion and Jasper Whiting Foundation funds New England college and university faculty members looking to study or conduct research abroad. Professor of Art History, Jessica Robey, speaks on her early thinking on a chronicling the life work of sculptor Peter Beerits following an inspiring visit to his Nervous Nellies Jams and Jellies shop, which is surrounded by his installations. The talk was highly visual, so we recommend viewing her powerpoint and watching Beerit's montage of the installations.
