In the fourth and final podcast episode, Coaching with Kerry explores the cross cutting theme: I Value Courage and Determination with two of UT’s current field supervisors and doctoral students/candidates, Adeli Ynostroza Ochoa and Beth Link. Considering themes of personal and professional identity, building our learning “sideways,” and the importance of slowing down to create space for responsiveness and race-conscious discourse, we consider the value and nuances of what it means to learn to teach. As teachers, we are committed to working collaboratively with our students, teacher colleagues, families, and communities in the pursuit of our collective growth and well-being.” In the midst of the 2020 election and a global pandemic, how does this translate? What does it mean to work IN-community (as a verb) with our colleagues, communities, and students?
