Influence and Platforms are available for Anyone

Ep.62_Influence and Platforms are available for Anyone Leaders can't control the the access to a platform. The Days of having the upper hand..due to the fact that the leader would be the one that would give the opportunity to up and coming leaders. Although that is still a key part of development, the time when someone steps up is out of the leaders control.  In todays environment Leaders should start thinking about strategic partnership, because influence is no longer base one on persons platform. #leadership #Partnership #Lead #development

-Can you be set up to Succeed; and still Fail…”YES”

-Can you be set up to Fail; and still Succeed…”YES”

In each “SET UP” the outcome is still determined by your effort and drive.

If you accept “I was set up to FAIL” then you have to own it.

We have to same two outcomes in everything we do…we either Fail or Succeed.

Great leader moves forward…no matter where they start.

If you say “I was set up to fail” you must accept that You didn’t do enough. Because a great leader fails and owns up to it, and find lesson for what’s next.

We must work hard to find our succeed…..

So find the Leader you are…Learn…Don’t Quit…and be honest to yourself.

Be are prepared to show people that your communication is valuable. Great communicators appreciate the time people spend listening to them and interacting with them.

Ep.57_Moving through the Dark Cloud

31m · Published 13 Jul 04:27

Ep.57_Moving through the Dark Cloud

Loneliness and isolation: We think of leaders as being surrounded by people all the time, but the old adage is true—it really is lonely at the top.

The sense of isolation is even more pronounced, and its effects more significant, during challenging times.

Self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy: From time to time we all feel inadequate and start to question and mistrust themselves.

Tapping into your capabilities and competencies can provide the confidence you need to overcome times of self-doubt.

Fearful of letting people down: Most leaders ascribe to a set of rules and standards, and they hope people are pleased with the work they do.

Especially when you’re trying to achieve something significant, it’s important to remember that you can’t always please everyone.

Afraid of public failure: We may teach that failure is a component of eventual success—and it is—but it’s still something that everyone dreads.

When leaders wiped out it’s time to get out of their own head and look objectively at failure as a learning experience.

Scrambling to get everything accomplished: We all tend to have a lot to do on any given day. That daily pressure is magnified for leaders, who have their own things to accomplish and have to make sure everyone on their team is performing well.

Laboring over their weaknesses: Most people hate to admit they have weaknesses. I’m a big believer in identifying your weaknesses and leveraging them.

Struggle with criticism: Leaders learn early on that everyone has an opinion about their actions and thoughts.

The Dark Cloud is a part of leadership, it brings lessons to be learned and opportunities to be shared. If you can find meaning in your struggle you will succeed as a leader.

Ep.55 / Is your Leadership Refreshing? / 6 keys to better your Leadership

12m · Published 30 Jun 02:12

Ep.55

Title: Is your Leadership Refreshing?

?Why…think about this..imagine spending a few hour in the hot sun…

What would be more appropriates: a hot bitter drink? or a cup full of ice filled with tea?

Which would be more refreshing?

Which would you look forward to?

Which would you prefer?

And which would you offer to someone else?

We would choose the more REFRESHING drink.

In today episode Im gonna share 6 keys that make up a “Refreshing Leader”

I have also created an illustration to better understand the “Refreshing Leader” idea: on Instagram @sam_clp2020 / and reminder to follow us and subscribe to out podcast and help spread the word…

Here are the 6 keys to be a Refreshing Leader

  • Self-Awareness: an awareness of one's own personality or individuality

-This is important because a leader should be consistent; from project to project and person to person. People should be worried about which version of you will show up again.

  • Respect: a feeling of deep admiration for someone elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

-when we’re in the middle of a project and stress is high. Or if someone makes a mistake…we must remember that the circumstance at hand can be fixed. And although it true we must at time correct people and train them to avoid making the same mistake again. But we will never help the  situation by talking down to someone; and taking advantage of or positions. A Refreshing Leader is always Respectful.

  • Empathy: the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

-This one is simple; it’s not all about YOU. Listen and Care about what other have going on and look for a way you help.

  • Courage: the ability to do something that frightens one.

-Your probably wondering how does Courage make one a Refreshing Leader? In the journey of a leader, test will come and even opposition. And teams have set backs, and this can bring discouragement with in the team. But when a leader is Courages and the team know it…test, set-backs don’t carry as much power. As a result the teams mind-set won’t be “it all over” it will be more like; “get ready”…

  • Integrity: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.

-Good People make the Best Leaders/This is so important; imagine working on a projects for hundreds of hours. And the main reason is because its gonna help many people. It will be easier to sleep at night…know that the Leader can be trusted…strong Morals and Principles.

  • Gratitude: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

-Its hard to be a part of any team where your not appreciate. At times I heard of Leaders setting really high expectation for their team…and until and if ever those expectation are meet…Gratitude is merited. But a Refreshing Leader give Gratitude through out the journey…making their team stronger and more confidante along the way, increasing the chance for success. So Good job and Thank You are simple words but powerful in Building great TEAMs.
