March 22-26 is National Agriculture Week, and SC State 1890 will recognize the many contributions of farmers and agricultural businesses across the nation.

Achieve your next level of potential and tune in to episode three of SC State 1890 Elevate Leadership podcast with guest John W. Matthews Jr., who is the longest-serving African-American in the South Carolina General Assembly in the state's history.

After 46 years of public service, Matthews, an SC State alumnus, retired from the South Carolina legislature at the end of the 2020 legislative session. He represented District 39, which includes Berkeley, Calhoun, Colleton, Dorchester and Orangeburg counties.
