Our Response To Adversity Dictates Our Future.

A crippling genetic disease caused Brain Wagner to lose his sight and to almost lose hope. Brian’s blindness enabled him to see the world with new vision. Now he’s on a mission.

He took a chance on surgery that could have made things worse. Fortunately, it partially restored his sight.

Now, Brian has partial use of his left eye and can even drive. Those days of blindness and struggle were a bleak time for Brian. He withdrew and briefly turned to alcohol to ease the stress.

But he never lost hope completely.

Each of us faces adversity daily in our work and personal lives. Our response to this adversity dictates our future. Brian’s goal is to help others recognize their blind spots, embrace their personal adversity, ‘go blind’ and respond by ‘gaining vision.’

Ray Matz has been en entrepreneur for over thirty years, He’s owned businesses in landscaping, real estate, and vending. Today, he’s Founder of Game Changing Dads and improving kids’ lives through hockey.

Ray “Razor” Matz Jr. is an energetic and passionate leader in his community and in his home. He is a devoted husband, a fun-loving father of 3 children, a successful business owner, and a dedicated children's minister in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Ray originally wanted to play professional hockey and pursued that until it became clear that would not be his future. Ray created the Main Beach Roller Hockey kids program in Fernandina Beach, Florida to reach area children through the sport. Ray currently serves in the children’s ministry at Journey Church in Fernandina Beach, Florida. He absolutely loves coaching and encouraging every child he meets, on or off the rink!

Ray started Game Changing Dads to motivate and encourage husbands and fathers to lead, love, and live. Ray is pursuing his passion of reaching kids and families through a coaching and public speaking career, as well as within the church ministry.
