June 10, 2013 • Today would have been my mother's 85th birthday. To honor her memory, and to share with you my mother's unique perspective on life, I'm sharing with you several recordings I made with her in the last year of her life. She lived exactly 84.5 years, from June 10, 1928–December 10, 2012. I asked her, among other things in these short interviews, what her early married life was like, what it was like raising 4 kids, where my dad worked in his early years, and what her interest in Art had been. I hope you find this engaging and informative, and that you get a sense of the kind of parents I am honored and grateful to have been born to. You don't get to pick your parents... but if I could, in a heartbeat I'd pick the same ones who reared me. Good memories.

June 1, 2013 - This really is the beginning of the "Drawing on Experience" Audio Paintcast™ It was recorded on two separate occasions exactly one year apart. I met with Thomas Blackshear and Frank Ordaz at a Conference Center in Ashland, OR where the three of us taught as guest instructors for a 4-day artist conference, Masterpiece Christian Artists Conference, invited by founder and organizer Jeanne Randall. I've known each gentleman for over 30 years, and had not seen either of them in probably 2 decades or more. As old friends do, we just got to chatting and talking about 'stories of the drawing board,' and it crossed my mind that this ought to be recorded — so it takes off right where I click the recorder on. I think you'll laugh. Enjoy!
