On this episode Kellie and Belén talk with Pamela Ugaz, who is an Economic Affairs Officer at UNCTAD, about how technology has facilitated trade over the years, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic and which is the current status of the adoption of tech-oriented measures to facilitate trade among WTO Members. This episode complements a blog that Pamela wrote in 2020 for the TradeExperettes, “How Technology Can Help Beat COVID-19's Cross-Border Trade Disruptions.”

This podcast episode consists of an interview with Dr. Inu Manak about the outcomes of the WTO 12th Ministerial Conference.  Dr. Inu Manak is a Fellow for Trade Policy at the Council on Foreign Relations. Stephanie Honey is a trade policy consultant and former New Zealand trade negotiator.  She focuses on digital trade and services, Asia-Pacific regional economic integration, the WTO, agriculture, and inclusion in trade.  Stephanie serves as Deputy Executive Director of the APEC Business Advisory Council, Associate Director of the New Zealand International Business Forum, and is the co-founder of Global Trade Insights, a business offering executive education in trade policy.  Today, she discusses digital trade, the latest developments in digital trade in FTAs, and the WTO e-commerce negotiations.
